Any ideas about who may take over? It seems like it would definitely be a relative. Any speculation?

Don,t know about Teddy jr. Let's see where his head is when he gets out.As far as bosses they have that all set for a long time. like sonny said it's a crime family first,May not be the right thing to do but that's what they know. I think the general public thinks more of Teddy then the blood family does.

IMO when Persico will die,the most powerful capo on the street will be acclaimed as a the new boss, and will become free of the Persicos as the Gambinos made with Gottis.

Who's the most stronger and more influential capo on the streets now?

Since Carmine Persico is 81 and could die at any moment.

If active Joseph Baudanza HAS to be a/the contender.

Ties to the Luchese's, extended family active. Could be the last revival hope the columbo's have. Seems as a family dynasty its a matter of time. fresh blood or die.

Any info on him appreciated.

Allie no doubt. I heard billy russo has had a lot of pull for a while and that he already helps run the day to day of that family.

Do you know if he is in bad health?

What I find amazing is that the commission didn't just remove Persico by force, just like they did with Scarfo. I am 1000% positive that Scarfo would have preferred to remain boss just like Carmine did and as well as Vic.

Maybe the reason is because they KNEW that Scarfo had no support on the street and NO ONE was prepared to remain loyal and start a war.

The reasons because Persico wasn't remove is that was a NY boss, out the big apple the Commission made and removed all te bosses it want,no so in the city.

Fort he next family boss,the Colombos needs a young boss that stay on the streets and not in a cell;
IMO if Persico live until 2020 I bet on Joel Cacace, that has always carried out the orders of Persico without asking nothing (Aronwald murder is one example) but also the murder of Ralph Dols and the fact that don't flipped after Dino Calabro and the other killer ratted, otherwise I bet on Teddy Jr. that when will comes out will be 56 years old and very young by the standards of colombo.

I've always been surprised Ralph Lombardo didn't take a bigger hand in things , he was a respected guy , and acted as acting consigliere for a time

Lombardo is even older than Carmine Persico.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

you have to give the persicos credit for keeping control of the colombos white snake and little allie are both doing life..
Really surprised of the loyalty to them.. especially in such a treacherous lifestyle where blood family usually doesn't mean shit.. guys will rob and kill their own brothers and fathers.

always wonder what shape the family would be in if wild bill didn't get kill and ended up taking over the family.

Wonder what persico thought when there future soldiers the Dino's killed the cop for Joel waverly. wild bills on the street lil Allie they were starting to rite the ship in that family 97 then that happens. That really must have been super off the record. Allie boy not gonna OK that or Andy Russo who may have been boss in 97.Maybe tommy shots really didn't give that order that's a real mystery as to who gave the order. Snake could have been happy when that came out couple years ago.

Probably because he's smart, what sane person would want an admin spot in that family?

Remember reading the persico wanted to hit lombardo. At tommy shots trial big dino said after he was inducted in 2000 they put him in that old guy Ralph's crew to start watching him and getting close to kill him. Guess he was a big money maker and was close to the alois. Soon after calbro joined his crew Ralph was indicted and chose to go to jail then stay out on bail which may have saved his life. Guess he was big in sports and loansharking on long island. The bosses thought he wasn't kicking up anuff.think I read to he was acting consig sometime back then but mostly a capo

Tommy I would guess street boss. Or if the son Michael was giving out orders to all and wasn't even a made guy. Sonny franses was caught on a wire praising Michael saying some weird shit to I forgot what but like he's some type of super special associate. And his thug cousin teddy was on tape saying Michael had the final say. So teddy sr who been around forever probably just takes over Michaels position unless he's sick. He's only early 70tys. And jail preserves some guys. hes been out a while probably of restrictions so is Andrew Russo. Some heavy old guys. They influence parts of the godfather film.

My guess is they have a powerful captain (maybe soldier) in that family that has a ton of juice on the street and is making a ton of $$...

This guy is probably smart and is happy not being labeled the boss which would put a huge target on his back..

So it may not really be loyalty it may just be a smart guy who doesn't want to the headaches (internal conflicts and more pressure from the law ect)..

This guy is so low key he is a millionaire and no one knows about him!!

Just kidding I have no idea just speculation but someone in that family has to be making money

Not in this day and age. The Persico's have too many family members/soldiers loyal to them. One things for sure, you have to go to war to wrestle control of the family off the Persico's and I doubt anyone is stupid enough to do so, this isn't the early 90's.

Orena would have to think it in 1990 when tried to take control of the family, but if he did it, he should kill allie little boy, greg scarpa and all the capos supporters of Persico and unless to make a killing at the godfather style it would have been difficult, and who would have had the courage to kill Persico? perhaps the Aryans but it would take a lot of money.
