It's that time of year again! Invitations have been sent out to last year's league. If you don't wish to return then please let me know. Also, if you want to play and didn't play last year, I'll put you on a waiting list. A tentative Draft date is currently set for: Sunday, Mar 22 at 7:00pm EDT. Any thoughts on switching to an innings based SP limit, from the 162 game limit so we don't have to babysit the quitters like usual? (I know. I bring this up every season.) Anything that makes life easier I guess would be a good thing at this point. However, before posing the question to the Yahoo League itself, it appears to me that the Max Innings Pitched isn't just for SP, but all pitchers...?  And the range is from 25-2000 (or no max; default is 1400), in increments of 25. Why would anyone pick such low numbers?? Or use this option at all, if it includes RPs as well. I'm going to try to dig deeper into this..... Edit: I sent the following to Yahoo Customer Care and hopefully I'll hear something back from them... My league has been playing for many years, and each year we impose a 162-game limit on Starting Pitchers. Makes sense, right? You can only have 162 GS's in a season. Each year I beg Yahoo to add that limit for SP's to the settings, because we always get slackers who go over the 162 starts limit. Now, there is a "Maximum innings pitched per team" setting, ranging from 25-2000-infinity which I don't understand at all. Does that include RPs as well as SPs? If so, why/when would this setting be helpful, especially with such low numbers as options, for innings pitched throughout the course of 162 games?? Can someone please explain that to me -- and also why you can't include SP's in "Max games played per position" (there are only 162 game starts/season; only RPs should be excluded, IMHO). Thank you again. Maybe next year? --JG WOAH! I heard back in just 30 minutes! Too bad it wasn't helpful at all, and this is why year after year we have to put up with this crap...

I appreciate your inquiry regarding a games played limit for pitchers. I'll be happy to clarify the situation.
While we don't have a games played limit, we do offer an innings pitched limit for teams. It's not ideal but it is a way to limit pitcher use for your league.

One of my batters hit a grand slam against one of my pitchers. Of course, the batter was on the bench. First place was nice while it lasted. I'm gonna assume I'm losing that after today.

Good job, guys! Final Standings I coulda been a contender but my second-half pitching took a nose dive. I ended up with only 150 GS as opposed to everyone else's 162 (and Lilo's 165) mostly do to procrastination, some bad luck, and long-season doldrums...
