I know we have a list somewhere of the hits and misses of the Gallo War. What about the Banana War?

Was just thinking about this after reading the DiCarlo book that before Gaspare DiGregorio was named boss in 1965, a meeting was held at Tommy Lucchese's house in Lido Beach in Long Island. Bosses from the five families were all present and even Sam Giancana and some Outfit men were there and all voted to approve DiGregorio.

In the second Gallo War its pretty well documented that Lucchese and Gambino played a very direct role in backing one faction against Profaci. They may have even helped Gallo militarily. To what extent do you think they interfered during the brief Banana War? And how many people actually died? Joe Bonanno tried to downplay the significance of the war but in my view he has a vested interest in half the things he says.
