I know there has been posts about this killing. But I can not seam to understand this.
Why did his layers instead of saying that someone jumped in the car.
Just say that the gun and mask was "planted" .I know he was seen driving around town but still. Now days these lawyers can get him off .No eye witness,no DNA, no gunpowder residue.
The state would have to place him there(did not)
The state would have to produce DNA (hair in the mask) or there would have the DNA around the mouth area from his breath /spit,(they did not).

What am i missing here.

It is way stupid for him to hit this guy in his car and in day light and in his neighborhood.Too me this works in his favor with proper jury selection.

I think all they needed was the license plate number from the car. Saying evidence is planted never seems to work. Cops just about always get the benefit of the doubt in court, saying something was planted is your word against the cops.

First of all, I don't think Nicodemo was framed. He is a known gangster, he probably wouldn't be with the Philadelphia mob if he weren't "capable".

Yes, innocent until proven guilty still is the law, but judges tend to believe law enforcement over anyone else. I don't think they purposely frame people, but they are human and they occasionally make mistakes. I have never been accused of a crime, but have gone to court to fight traffic tickets, municipal court is like a kangaroo court, cops can testify to one thing, then contradict themselves two minutes later and the judge will say nothing about it.

I did not mean it the way you said it. And if it came out that way I must of said it backwards.(I do that often lol)

And as far as LE goes they are "not" (but getting close)just as bad as the mob,but they do there own type of brainwashing(lack of a better term)
And I can not explain why, but I have been around many many guys that became cops(maybe 100)good normal Catholic kids .After or during the Academy stuff gets pounded into there head 75% of them will make things go there way if left to them.(not the laws way)70% of them become the most racist group of people after or just a year or so on the street. The number before is around 50/50.This is knowing these kids since they were little kids.

As far as "Nicodemo" I am sure he knows something(or all)but these guys if they want your rackets ,they will stop at nothing. He could have been the watch out and went home and got set up (just sayin)I know that this did not go on ,but these guys are RUTHLESS.

Serp,
The guy's car was seen fleeing from the scene. He was arrested sweating in an agitated state shortly after. The murder weapon was found in the back of the car. He didn't mention the 'car-jacking' until 2 years later. He's a know gangster and the victim was suspected of co-operation with LE.

What. The f***. Do. You. Need.

MORGAN: Why didn't you fight him at the park if you wanted to? I'm not goin' now, I'm eatin' my snack.
CHUCKIE: Morgan, Let's go.
MORGAN: I'm serious Chuckie, I ain't goin'.
WILL: So don't go.

There was an eyewitness - mailman who took the tags , saw everything take place. There's video surveillance of the car circling the street, what everyone said after the arrest .. Juror from 1st trial said defense argument was laughable. Nico had counsel from his legal team too, had to take that into account. He gets out early 60s with time left to live his life rather than never come out...chalk this up to a very botched piece of work and him taking responsibility . Granted not many like him anymore . I'm sure people on the street are both relieved but content for the time being

Jose: Thank you for clarifying that I did not know there was an eyewitness putting him in the driver seat.
That explains that defense(never knew they seen him)thought it just someone driving the car.

How hard would it have been for him to steal a license plate for the hit?

I'd like to hear this or any other wiretaps of the Philly mob if anyone has them.

Thanks.

Makes you think. Makes you think about the people in your life. And when I think, I think of Neil. If he were here now what would he say? He would say "John what's it about? What's life about... if you dont go through it as a man's man?". He'd say "Suck it up, take the fall do the time. That made you what you are. That makes you what you are. How long have we been around this thing of ours? This Cosa Nostra? 120 years. What's it about? It's about the rules, perimeters. You take the beating for a friend, you don't run, you don't lay down, you don't betray who you are. What you are.

This will go down as the worst hit in LCN history, own car, own "hood", daylight, keeping gun, etc.

Who gets pinched 35 minutes after a hit? idiot...

There is.

Azguy left out that Nicodemo is the dumbest fucking button to ever do up a suit.

And he's in good company.
