You can justify the cop killing Brown but if you do the same in the Garner situation you might be a Redneck! I am on Garner's side.

Was Garner the one in NY? While I agree the dude was resisting and if he would have just given up and been cuffed he would have lived but on the other hand the cops did go overboard on choking the dude. They can say that was a take down move but once he went down why did he hold it?

And just because you are cuffed doesn't mean you are going to jail. All the dude had to do was prove he wasn't doing anything wrong and he goes on his way.

They can't prove intent, which means they don't have a case under the civil rights statutes.

Should probably ask Mr. Kierney. I guess if you're Italian, you should be in prison.
I've read the RICO Act, and I can tell you it's more appropriate...
for some of those guys over in Washington than it is for me or any of my fellas here

Wow, hope the feds lock the cop up or at least fire him.

little nicky, are you suggesting that the cop who killed garner will walk, even after the feds investigation.

Nicky's right. If they can't prove intent it's over. And really, if a New York grand jury couldn't deliver an indictment---this a city to the Left of France---why would anyone with even the slightest knowledge of the law think that the Feds can do any better?

Tasering can also lead to cardiac arrest. A few years back I thought there was a pornstar who died from heart failure after two cops tased him.

Here we go with this shit again.

He did resist and I doubt every single cop alive carries a taser. I don't know enough about NYC cops to know if they carry them or not.

That fat bastard was almost four hundred pounds. He could have had a heart attack bending over to tie his shoelaces, or walking to the corner to buy a bottle of Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill. Tasering him would have likely killed him just the same as the alleged choke hold.

There was no chokehold, it was an authorized tactical headlock take down manuver.

It was unauthorized and excessive in its force. The guy was barely resisting arrest, the officer choked him out, officer drove his knee into his head. At what point has the guy stopped putting up a resistance? The guy said "I can't breathe" at least half a dozen times. The officers wasted crucial time sitting on their hands when they should have been tending to or getting medical help for an unconscious man.

Incapacitate him, okay. But Pantaleo totally lost control of himself.

People say Garner's obesity contributed to his death. If he's so obese why then the need to maintain and firm a chokehold after he's already been neutralized? The guy wasn't a threat.

I think regardless of Garner's arrest record, if it was my family member or one of your family members we would rightfully be royally pissed off.

People? try the medical examiner, or do you think you know better than the doctor?

but really its all a moot point, bc the grand jury didn't even believe that there was enough probable cause to say that a crime occurred. so that's that. and bottom line this guys death was no great loss to society.

and little nicky and PB are right the feds aren't going to be able to do shit no matter how much holder would love to throw this guy to the wolves.

I kinda got a hunch the feds are going to take the cop down.too many people saw the video, I just got a hunch the cop will be toast, on account of the feds.

At the very least, the cop deserves to lose his job and pension.

The Feds can't manufacture evidence any more than the New York DA can. This is the most liberal city in the entire country, and they couldn't get an indictment. The Feds will fare no better. That being said, I think the department will eventually bully this cop into retiring. And that's probably not such a bad thing.

The only good thing to come out of this mess is that de Blasio has been exposed as the spineless creep that I always knew he was. He's polling at something like 25% now, and it will only get worse for him these next three years. Because one thing about Manhattanites: They vote liberal across the board in national elections. But when it comes to the local races, they're not adverse to voting for a more conservative candidate. Look no further than Giuliani for proof of that.

A question for you NY guys: How does a guy like DeBlasio get voted into office in a city that once had Giuliani at the helm? That is a monumental paradigm shift. Not only did he win, but in a landslide! Every time NYC goes down that leftie lane, they end up in a monster mess of high crime, filth, and massive debt...wasn't Giuliani enough of an example for them to see what works and what doesn't?...but then again, the nation at large, does the samething I guess with our presidential voting.

He won because Christine Quinn was believed to be a shoo-in in the Lefty community. As soon as the angry dyke in her reared its ugly head, she was outed (no pun intended) for the incompetent that she is. de Blasio fell ass backwards into the nomination.

Well he is a mess of a man, and more worrisome is that he is dangerous...his rhetoric in the Garner case has already placed people in harm's way. Coincidentally, I also understand that he wants to change some of the portraits at the Governor's mansion...in order to show "diversity." Maybe Al Sharpton will soon adorn the walls of the governor's dining room...it will certainly curb everyone's apetite, if nothing else.

Strike that...not Governor's mansion (that's already occupied by another lefty wacko).

I can agree with that too. My only deal was the choke hold after Garner hit the ground, the cop continued to hold it when he shouldn't have. Put your knee into the back of his fat ass head and hurt him. If he freaks out so bad he killed himself then I can agree and like you say there could be things released to that grand jury that we don't know about as well that made that jury hand back a no bill. The choke hold AFTER he hit the ground is the only thing I disagree with in all of this. The rest was things the cops should have done since Garner did resist. If he wasn't 400 pounds, and say 195 like myself I would have been face down eating dirt if I resisted like Garner did and everyone here knows it. Hell PB you already know my story about the drug raid and I wasn't some old skinny white bitch cooking meth! lol But folks like cook county are too dumb to admit that shit like what happened to me DOES happen to white folks too.

Yes when it was first initiated it was an authorized takedown move. But once Garner was on the ground the cop still had it in, that is when it's a choke.

Well cook will be happy tonight, some moron posted on Instagram that he was going to pop some cops in NYC and went out and actually killed two, then posted another pic on Instagram of the blood on the pants then shot himself.

Now he'll be a hero.

Then why didn't the New York grand jury indict, Cook?

Because there's not enough evidence to support an indictment, that's why. Eric Garner is dead because he ate himself into obesity with his welfare benefits card, just like a pig feeding at the troth.

The New York Grand Jury saw this and they should be applauded for their decision. The Feds won't fare any better, even with that racist piece of shit Eric Holder leading the charge.

“We’re all in this together,” the mayor told grieving cops, according to a cop who was there.

“No we’re not,” one officer said tersely in response.
