At the commission meeting in 84, Salerno was photographed arriving, So Gigante must have chosen to stay away from these meetings! Was he being heavily watched by the feds as early as 84?

As early as 1984? Are you kidding? He shot Frank Costello in 1957 and he was heavily watched for the rest of his life. But it's all moot anyway. The Feds were so fucking stupid back then that they thought Fat Tony was the boss anyway.

Yes, i know he was always under survelliance, and he was doing the crazy act since the 60s but i dont think he adopted the pyjama and talking to lamposts routine until the mid 80s! During the 60s and 70s he seemed to be off the radar, not many people outside of organizd crime know much about him during this peroid! He re-appeared in the 80s.lol Theres a few photos of him what appears to be in the 70s standing oustide the triangle smoking and dressed normally! Was he made a capo after he got out of prison?

I know that. I never said that he was walking around in his Underoos back in the '60s and '70s (although he did check himself into mental hospitals every so often to keep up appearances). I just said that he was never off the Feds' radar. And he wasn't.

Even with the front boss position working so well for him, Vince was always one of their top three targets in the Genovese Family back in the '70s, along with Matty and Fat Tony.

Sal Miciotta says that Benny Squint had one eye in Brotherhoods. I never heard this anywhere else. Is that true?

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

The funny thing about Fat Tony is that he looked like the a walking stereotype, a cartoonish caricature of a mob boss... it was all worked out between him and Chin.. he couldn't have picked someone better who even looked the part.

-I shot him a coupla' times.
-What's a couple?
-Hmm, more than a couple... Really I don't know the exact amount, maybe I shot him 10 times, 12 times?
-Maybe fifteen?
-Hmm, it could've been fifteen...
