I was curious to see what peoples opinions are on this matter. A bookie I know is charging juice on a former employee who is locked down for 6 months seems kind of f'd up in my opinion. But there aren't any passes in that line of work.

But there aren't any passes in that line of work. A bookie or a shylock? Bookies rarely charge interest to their players, unless the customer is a total outsider and has nowhere to go to help him get on the installment plan . A shylock, on the other hand . . . . will often keep the meter running while a debtor's inside. That's just the way it goes. But nothing's set in stone. Just like everything else with that world, it depends who you are and who you owe.

If a guy already knew he was going away and STILL borrowed money, the shy has every right to keep the meter running. Exactly. I posted something similar to this. It is what it is.
