I find almost no treads, nor do I find any good information about the Cartels. I wanna know everything there is to know, especially how many members they are estimated to have, and how much cash they earn. I hear it is a significant number, reaching to the billions. Pablo Escobar died with an networth of $30.000.000.000 / that's 30 billion. They have no problem with shooting anybody, especially federales. They don't have as many police razzias as they have military razzias... any info would be appreciated.

I don't follow the cartels at all. But I remember reading that George Jung got out a few months ago. He's writing a sequel to 'Blow' which hollywood are quite interested in apparently. Looks like crime does pay after all...
MORGAN: Why didn't you fight him at the park if you wanted to? I'm not goin' now, I'm eatin' my snack. CHUCKIE: Morgan, Let's go. MORGAN: I'm serious Chuckie, I ain't goin'. WILL: So don't go.

When it comes to the cartels it seems like nobody knows anything about anything. They're the new Mafia.

When it comes to the cartels it seems like nobody knows anything about anything. They're the new Mafia. The American mob is in decline. No doubt about that. But the cartels will never carry the same mystique. The Italian American wiseguys were ruthless killers at times, but they were able to sell themselves as "gentlemen gangsters" back then. I'm not saying it was right to buy into their romanticized act, but it is what it is, and people lapped it up. And with the cartels of today, I'm sorry, but no one is empathizing with a Mexican guy with a tattoo on his face. They look like animals, and that's how most of the world will see them.

I actually sell into their ''romanticized act''. Speaking of the Italians now, there is no other fairytale I like fantasize about more than the Giancana, Monroe, Sinatra and Kennedy connections. I would love a show about that, I saw ''The Rat Pack'' series with Liotta as Sinatra and that guy who played Joey Zasa in the Godfather playing Dean Martin. It all seemed like heaven, frankly. Pizzaboy, what do you think of the Russian Mafia in America? I am curious about them too, they seem similar to the Italian mafia only Eastern European, except they show their ranks with tatts, right? Vor Stars or whatever.
