Here is the first part of this 1970's wiseguy flick stars Joe Cortese, Joe Pesci, and Frank Vincent to name a few. It's about a street guy from Jersey. Since utube will probably take my vids down I am going to post them a cpl at a time...let's see what happens then I will post more. Enjoy.

They have the whole movie on YouTube.

I saw that movie when it played in that movie houses. I thought it was pretty good.

I did not know who Joe Pesce was at the time. After I met Pesce I told him I saw the movie. He said while they were filming he had a real fight a fist fight with Joey Cortese and kicked the shit out of him until they broke it up smile

Later I met Joey Cortese at the Mayflower hotel at the beginning of Central park west. I recognized him from seeing that movie. I told him I thought he was great in it. He seemed surprised that I even seen it. I never mentioned what Pesce told me about the fight their was no point.

I always thought Cortese would be a big star, but it never happened.

Great story Footreads...Yea Pesci was still unknown back then. My Pops would see him in and around Jersey from time to time years back, they had mutual friends. He talks a little bit about Jersey in Goodfellas before the famous "I Amuse You...scene". I thought he and Cortese were friends no? and packed up to go out to Hollyweird to try to further their acting careers. I'm glad Pesci made it BIG. Too bad about Cortese not making it.

I read that Ralph De Vito who wrote and directed the Family Enforcer died, ruled a homicide. Let me guess...degenerate gambler panic

When the movie first came out it was called "The death collector"

Later after raging bull came out.

They changed the name to family enforcer with Pesce picture not Cortese on the box. It was first out on VHS not sure if they ever put it out on DVD.

I'm glad you got to see it. Pesci is great. There is something about his generation, they all know how to tell a great story. It comes out in his acting especially in Goodfellas.

NO, but I did mention the fight between cortese and Pesce to Frank Vincent when he appeared on Pastore's (big pussy) wise guy show when it was on the radio. He said he did not know anything about it.

But since Pesce was the guy who told me about it and they are both friends and were both in the movie together. I knew he just did not want to let the cat out of the bag.

I should have written It was released on DVD too. Oops.

I would have loved to hear Vincent tell THAT story. Too bad he decided not to say anything.

Never listened to that radio show. Did you get a free "Broccoli wad"? LMAO when I saw a clip of Pastore talkin about how he wants to sell that. The good ole' broccoli rubber bands, old school.

Got a funny story that happened on that radio show.

Ken Jennings was on that show. He at that time was the biggest winner ever on jeopardy he won over a million.

They played a game audience members could call in and ask him a question. If you stump him you get an autographed copy of his book that just came out back then.

My oldest daughter for some unexplained reason thought that jerk off was cute.

I saw the last show Jennings lost on final jeopardy. He missed the question what does the H & R in H &R Block the tax people stand for.

So I thought he probably never would remember the right answer.

So I asked Ken that question I was right he did not know it. So I wanted the book I was going to give it to my daughter smile

Then Pastore asked me what was the answer to the question was I said why do I have to know the answer. He had to know the answer not me. smile

They did not want to send me the book because I did not remember what the answer was once he lost smile

But because I told him my daughter thought there was something cute about him they would send me the book. They never sent me the book, smile

You are a great storyteller Footreads. My Grandma had a crush on Ken Jennings too. She was visiting us and couldn't wait to watch him on Jeopardy. lol

So did you ever figure out the answer?

Did you ever see Pastore's Roast? I'm not sure if it's still on YouTube.

Pastore was with the inventer of that broccoli thing on that show called shark tank trying to get financing for it.

Something wrong with a rubber band?

Money clips are fine unless you like to carry 3000 thousand on you in cash all the time.

I have a wallet it starts off small then some how turns into a Constanza smile

I always put a rubber band around it. Because Mr. paranoid always thinking I don't want it pick picked. Put a rubber band you can feel it if someone try's to steal it.

But I don't have to worry about it any more because the fucking thing is too big for my pants pocket. So unless they can cut my pants leg to get at it I have it.

You should see me try to get it out of my pocket to get something out of it. I do keep some money in a money clip when I need cash.

So he went on Shark tank oh man how embarrassing

What's wrong with a rubber band?
You are right Foots the rubber band really helps keep the wallet from moving.

As a kid I remember my nonna keeping the rubber bands on the doorknob and the men taking them especially if there was a broccoli rubber band that would be gone in no time
Many of the Italian men used to carry their 'scarole that's what they used to call it, nobody used a wallet. They'd take it out of their pocket, then reach in for some change to give us kids and then tell us now SCRAM.

Don't give them a wallet...forget about it. That was strictly for a drivers license and a couple photos. With the cash, it was easy to pay for something 1,2,3

Over here in CA in my neighborhood you never see a guy carrying cash like that.

One time my Pops was ironing his money. I caught him. I said now I have seen everything.
