I'm pretty sure he had the majority of the young guys in his crew. the Narducci brothers, the Pungitores and the Milano brothers. I think it was said most of his dad's businesses went to him so maybe some old time guys that were with Phil as well. I don't think Tory Scafidi was in his crew but could have been. After he was killed Tommy Del and Faffy Ianarrella ran his crew together.

I'm not sure who he replaced as capo, but I'm under the impression that went Scarfo went to the can for the weapons charges in the early 80's, Chuckie Merlino was running things on the street and Testa was bumped up to acting underboss at the time to help Chuckie run things in South Philly.
Supposedly, Leonetti says in his book that he was running things in Atlantic City at the time too while Nicky was away.
When Testa was bumped up, Tommy Del and Faffy Iannarella ran the crew together. Then, when Ciancaglini Sr. was arrested, Tommy Del and Faffy were both bumped up to acting capo's to fill Testa and Ciancaglini's spots, respectively.
You're right, the Grandes were also in his crew. PB I think Testa was made a captain when Scarfo took over, along with Leonetti, Lawrence Merlino and Chickie Ciancaglini, so he was one for about 3 years. Keep in mind Scarfo either demoted or killed a bunch of captains that either were not aligned with him or had a hand in Phil Testa's bombing. He took down Johnny cappello bc he was aligned with Chickie Narducci after Phil Testa was killed. Chick Ciancaglini took over Frank Sindone's crew. He had been Sindone's number 2. I think Chickie Narducci's crew was split. I imagine some of his went to Testa being that his sons were under Sal. I'm not positive but I think Johnny Keys was a captain as well. I could be wrong on that though. At any rate there were a few crews that needed the captain spot to be filled.
