It wouldn't surprise me. The less reputable mob controlled construction companies will take whatever shortcuts they can to save a buck. Especially where drywall and insulation are concerned because they're so difficult to regulate.

Appears there was a lot of CYA by govt officials after the fact , which I understand to some degree , but still it's shit like this that results in Americans believing that the govt generally lies to the people and that's a major issue IMO that needs to be corrected at some point .
