Thanks, pal. Wasn't so good, spent it in the ER. Shit happens.
Yes, just something about them. I loved tue fourth just as much as te others. That is my younger brother's favorite. It kinda sucks because I wasn't even born when the fifth one came out, so I didn't have the opportunity to see them in theatres. Except for "Rocky Balboa" of course. It was probably my least favorite of the franchise, but it was still decent. That's the only one I don't love.
Funny story about Rocky IV. My mom told me her and my dad went to see it when it came out. She said there were sp many people that they couldn't sit and had to watch the whole movie standing.
Also, I don't know if you have heard but they're trying to make another. I guess this is more of a spin-off as Rocky is not the central character. The whole movie will be centered on Apollo's grandson. Nothing more than that has been exposed. But if I had to guess, Stallone will probably be his trainer/manager.

I don't even have to click on that to know what it is lol. Eddie Murphy did tell the truth on that lol. Except that it doesn't only apply to Italians, it's all white people. As I am not Italian lol.
But I really don't know where this idealistic thing came from that all blacks are just naturally great fighters. Yeah sure, a lot and MOST of the greatest boxers who ever lived were black but there were and still are a lot of good white fighters. The heavyweight champ in all but one division is white.
From what I've seen the average black guy fights about the same as anyone else. The blacks I have been around can't fight at all. They windmill. Not trying tobe racist, just telling it how it is.
But in my area, there isn't a whole lot of fights between black and whites. Whites fight whites and blacks fight blacks. And a lot of people here (black and white) are these wimpy, wannabe gangbangers. They try to talk tough thinking no one will mess with them but when they do they get their as kicked. I would bet 80% of them have never been in a fight.
I am also located in Central IL, so there's a bit pf Chicago gang influence here. None of these guys would last a month in Chicago lol. Or any big city for that matter. They don't have a clue about real gang violence.

All the movies were great! I still have my 45 record of Eye of the Tiger from Rocky 3. The CONFIDENCE AND PRIDE these movies gave the young Italian kids and teens could not be matched by any other movie out there at the time. (Bruce Lee did it for the Chinese, Rocky did it for the Italians) I really believe it did create a more focused positive attitude among Italian young guys. Wiseguys don't look up to anyone but the younger gen needed a role model and ROCKY was it. Go Rocko
And bad bad bad bad bad bad bad Vlad for posting that vid shame on you. You fucker you. Just kidding. I remember that vid. It was pretty funny.

I love Rocky 1-4 with 4 being my favorite and the soundtrack is great too. Rocky 4 did more to solve USA and Russia problems that the government did..If you can't get excited for the training scene then your not human..

Rocky - the only one. After that it was all for the money. The original was gritty, genuine, unpretentious, romantic, tender and tough. .... "I shoulda broke your tum".

By the time they made Rocky IV, they may as well have made Jaws his opponent. IMO they got progressively worse with each sequel.
The First Blood movie was excellent and Rambo (First Blood Pt II) was also very good. After that, as bad as Police Academy II, Friday the 13th II - whenever, etc.

The first three are pretty good. 4 is the cheesiest thing i've ever seen and not in a funny way. I suppose i'm not human Deniro because all this scene makes me do is laugh, and then i remember he killed his former rival, who is now his best friend, and it just makes me laugh more .
I've always liked the Rocky films. I quickly became a Stallone fan. Tho I can't say I am crazy about (or not interested in seeing) his recent films. The first Rocky was the best but I liked 2 & 3 as well. The character is so likeable, you can't help but root for him.
Plus, that movie gave me the idea for my BB board name.

I go running every morning and every now & then I'll hear the Rocky Theme OR Eye of The Tiger. It gives me that extra boost to run a little faster.
A few years ago BBers meet in Philly. Tho lots of fun, my one regret was not seeing OR running up the Rocky steps. Maybe next time (if I'm not too old)

I like all of those films. 5 is perhaps my least favourite, might have been an unnecessary film but has an interesting aspect to it with him as a trainer. And I think that 6 just has a beautiful storyline.

I definitely liked the first one and I enjoyed the #s 2 and 3. But, the remaining ones were somewhat contrived. I did enjoy Rocky Balboa though. I thought it was a fitting climax to the anthology.

I agree. Tho not a "blockbuster" like the first one, the story ended very appropriately.
