Been a long time since I posted but I just came across this documentary with some brilliant footage I thought I would share. Lookout for footage I have never seen before on tommy gambino, quack quack, all of the Chicago hierarchy of the 80s meeting for a wedding, jonny boy gotti, joe Colombo, ruggiero the boot and more. This doc really done their research all over America and was pre castellano being whacked. Weird the way they class gotti as if he's in tommy gambinos crew. This doc was right in the middle of it all before the families were even touched. Joey cantalupo has got some stories and info surprised he survived after this..

If you've seen it sorry for the post but just came across this and couldn't believe how much footage and the info/ authenticity in this. Scouring YouTube for a documentary paid off! Enjoy.

Think it was late 70s like 79 actually as turk torello of Chicago died in 79? And chucky English was whacked in 85 I think.

And was Newark New Jersey really that bad?!!

It's about ten minutes in that you can see the story about Turk Torello's kid's wedding. It shows English, Aiuppa, Ferriola, Joe Arnold and Torello.

I like how Aiuppa, the boss, doesn't give a shit and just walks up in there while Inendino is hiding his face the whole way in.

When Cantalupo was talking about the garment district he mentioned "The Gambino Boys" and then said Joe Gambino, Tommy Gambino and Butchie Gambino. Who is Butchie Gambino? Carl Jr?

It sure as shit looks like him. I think it's him.

In the book Deal with the Devil it said "Scarpa not only carried a picket sign, he also acted as an occasional public spokesman for the group, denouncing the government—even as he was secretly betraying the Mafiosi with whom he was picketing."

Yeah, that's him. There was a discussion of the same footage in another thread, although I think it was just concerning a "still" from the video.

I saw the doc, boy, that scarpa has a lot of nerve, cant figure out why somebody in the columbo family didn't know he was an fbi stoolie. you think they would have caught on to this guy sooner than 30 years of him ratting.

I've seen this before a long time ago - the Chicago footage is great. I wouldn't want to be the camera guy getting those looks from Joe Arnold and Aiuppa. I also wonder who the girl is with Jimmy Inendino.

I wonder what the Feds thought when they looked down from their windows and saw him of all people down there lol. This maybe the most hypocritical thing ever caught on tape.

I've watched most of them. They are great. The best part is that there is no hill, pistone, Coffey and cullata in them. Lol that damn cop from Jersey that says ok after every third word is there. Still grateful tho

This is back when Inendino and his brother Sam were the largest juicers on the West Side.

What's his brothers status today?

I don't think his brother is very involved these days. Didn't he marry one of Sarno's cousins or something?

he must have gotten it in the early 60s if he was ratting in 62 all the way til the ninetys, hard to wrap your mind around this guy getting away with it all. he should of been buried soon after he started to sing.

I have this as a DVD box set, a bit dated now but still one of the best series of documentaries on the mafia

Anyone know if Cantalupo and Denono are still alive or in jail?

British is best....

He was made at a pretty young age, in the 1950's. NY supposedly closed the books in 1957, so it had to be before then.

Some people suspected him of being a snitch, but I think he was saved because he was a big earner and he was Persico's main muscle. A top capo and violent hitter going over 30 years without an arrest had to raise some eyebrows. He wasn't exactly the low key type like Joe Arcuri

mulberry, yeah, that's exactly my thinking. he was so murderous , so brutal, but, apparently he slipped under the radar. I think he was a tremendous help to the persico faction during the arena war. and like you mentioned a great earner.
