Henry Hill is going to be featured in the new series of 30 For 30.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

Love the 30 for 30 series..... although its not the mafia, the gangsters in the 30 for 30 one on the "U" down in Miami are the real deal in the clubs that Irvin and the rest of them went to.

is this the one about the 1979/80 boston college team? always wonder if they got jerrys anguilos ok or rays to do it or gave them tips. bulger and flemmi never reported knowing about the point shaving.

It does make you wonder pmac. I thought Jimmy Burke had more to do with this than Hill?

Also I find it funny on The U they quickly stopped in 1991 before the next year when we stomped their ass at the Sugar Bowl 34-13 when they were supposed to be the best team ever.

I absolutely LOVE the 30 for 30 series, in my opinion the best one so far was the one called Unguarded on Chris Herren, I loved watching him play at Fresno State growing up as a kid! He could have been the greatest white player since Bird!!!!!

Yea Dante I admit I knew nothing about him until that. It was really good.

I liked the one about Diego Maradona too. It was a 30 for 30 short though.

I remember earlier this year somebody made a post asking for pictures of Hill and Burke for a documentary they were making on ESPN...So i guess this is the doc that person was talking about.

As far as I've heard Henry was the point man on that w Marty krugman and paul manzi(I.e) from Pittsburgh. Should be a great one and the u was def the best one I've seen along w the Marcus Dupree one. Also Dixie u might like to know there is a episode called the u part 2. Probably start off w antonio langham taking one to the house in the 92 national title game. Then will go to the lean years then to the next dynasty that got robbed in 2000 of playing in the game, best team ever in 2001. Let's see rbs Portis McGahee wr s moss r Wayne Andre Johnson te Shockey Winslow. 4 pro o line and 10-12 drafted defense. Bama under sangam had nothing on that Miami squad. If butch didn't take the browns job they prob would of won 4 in a row. Also they got robbed of a national title in 02 on a phantom penalty v ohio state. They were so stacked

Capo yes I remember that guy posting here too. I'm sure he would have gotten more help if we didn't have all the trolls here. It's just so hard to help when you're not sure if the person posting is on his 4th username or not.

Christy I have to disagree there. Miami was a ticking time bomb the moment they resurged due to what they were doing to get those players. For Saban to dominate in a time where oversigning is gone and the way the SEC has clamped down to actually make recruiting tougher is much more impressive than having a guy like Shapiro paying players like Miami did.

Also Langham didn't take one to the house against Miami, you are thinking about the Florida game in the SEC Title game. George Teague was the one that took one to the house during the Sugar Bowl and he was also the one that ran down Thomas and took the ball from him. You also forget this is not the first run Bama has ever been on either, Bama dominated the 70's and are currently dominating again with 2009 possibly having one of the best defenses ever.

Not saying that Miami has a better tradition than bama. Just saying that the 200-2001 Miami teams were the most talented teams to ever be assembled Shapiro or not

Yeah Dix your 100% correct there about that...I was even skeptical at first as to why somebody would want pics of them for ESPN until i thought about the Boston point shaving case.

And that defense? There aren't even words that can accurately describe it. Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Jonathan Vilma, Vince Wilfork, Jerome McDougle, D.J. Williams, Mike Rumph, and Philip Buchanon - I'm almost 100% positive that every last one of those guys ended up being 1st round draft choices. Combined with all of the talent on the offensive side of the ball, it's a shame that team only ended up winning the national championship in 2001.

I half agree about Butch Davis leaving and changing the situation, but I believe that Larry Coker was more than capable of continuing to build the dynasty. I really believe that the bullshit phantom pass interference against Ohio State in the 2002 title game really deflated their run. If that games ends differently, and they would have been able to continue the stretch they had from 2000-2002, I think the Canes could have been the greatest dynasty EVER in the history of college football. They easily could have won multiple national titles like you alluded to.

I'm from Pittsburgh, and I got to see them live in person during the 2001 season when they visited here to play Pitt. It was like men against boys. I've never seen anything like it, just pure domination. I'll never forget the score ended up being 43-21, and for Miami that year, it actually looked like they were given a tough game. But if I recall correctly, the Canes rolled out to a 21-0 lead in the first, and had the game all but put away before halftime, up 28-7. Was never as close as it might have looked!

Yea the defense was even better. Didn't want to drop more names like mcdougle Joseph dan Morgan etc.... There one loss in 3yrs b4 the ohio state bs was to Washington who they beat the next year 62-0. I'm a scarolina fan so I'm not biased toward Miami but they had 15 kids drafted in the first 2 rounds in 3yrs

Yea sure, just like he was going to Texas last year too lol You folks crack me up.

No QB? Blake Sims is 12th in college football in passing efficiency. Not bad for "no QB".

Other than the Oregon/Michigan State game who has played anyone this time of year?

Amari Cooper doesn't throw the ball to himself to lead the nation in catches and yards.

I see you avoided the real question about Saban going somewhere.

PS-We were missing a starting corner against WVU who has since come back.

Saban is going to just go to ESPN and be an analyst and get paid and be able to basically leave the program as one of the top ones in the nation better than when he got there as he did LSU

My favorite 30 for 30 are the jimmy the greek episode, the no mas one with roberto duran and the "broke" one, that's ny far the most entertaining hearing how all those idiots went dead broke after making tens and tens of millions.

GO GATORS

You are a damn fool. You better find another team to root for than the Gaytors because they are going to lose tomorrow. That's a FACT.

And Saban's going to give up his pay for ESPN? lol That says enough...

Bama looked by far to be the best team in the nation and the game wasnt really ever close and could have been 56-0. Go gators need a new coach

Yep if we could have held onto the damn ball I seriously doubt Florida would have scored. That was the sloppiest game I've seen under Saban at Bama.

Is there any question that Amari Cooper deserves to be in the Heisman talk and to be called the best WR in the college game right now??

And would you like to change your comment on us not having a QB?

Also Eddie Jackson (currently our best CB) was out, and a True Freshman corner (Tony Brown) played and didn't give up anything yesterday. I think we have corners now and people can hush that garbage up that we couldn't cover anyone as WVU showed they can sling the ball and we were down a corner against them.

We are pretty damn good.

Thanks Moe, looking forward to this and I have to agree that Henry Hill was most likely the point man on the points shaving.
