What does everyone think about the new Whitey Bulger movie coming out? They are currently filming around Boston and the pictures of Johnny Depp, etc. look awesome. It's based on the book "Black Mass" Here's the cast according to Wikipedia:

Yea I was wondering how in the hell they would make Depp look like Whitey and they done a pretty good job!

I do have a fascination with the Irish mob, especially the Winter Hill Gang which dominated Boston. Whitey Bulger is a bit of a modern folk hero, and as long as it provides a new perspective on his life, I'll watch it. The Departed is a great film based on him, now let's see how this movie about him will be

The departed was a great movie no doubt, but it was hardly a whitey bulger bio, the character was loosely based on him at best, the departed was actually a remake of a chinese movie called internal affairs and it pretty much had the exact same plot just inside of the irish mob it was about the chinese triads, so like i said the departed was hardly a bio.
