Anyone watching the game I hope the heat can make a come back tonight. Game 2 Lebron got real aggressive in the 4th quarter which helped them win game 2.

They interviewed the NBA Comissioner (Silver) whose being sued by Sterling now. Never a dull moment

The Spurs are outplaying Miami in nearly every way. Miami is clearly weaker on defense and their lack of a point guard is being exploited. The Heat might take this to a Game 6, but after two consecutive drubbings at home, Miami is looking overmatched while the Spurs continue to make all of the necessary adjustments.

Not surprising Pops been the best coach in the league for years.

I'm happy that the Spurs are winning as i dont really like the Heat even though im a Wade fan. It's really good to hear that Kahwi Leonard is doing so well, he's quickly becoming one of my fav players in the league.

An elite HOFer coach like Pop can win close games against a good or great coach with better schemes/play calling.

Pop is BLOWING Spoelstra out early in first quarter last two games.

Spoelstra is a lousy coach. Heat won rings because Lebron and Wade were simply better players than what other teams had.....but Spo is a joke as a coach. The consecutive early blowouts..with NO adjustments....are evidence of this.

So assuming the finals is already finished, who does everyone think is MVP at this point?

Who do you Support Nets? Is it by any chance the Nets lol ? I support the Celtics, but it pretty much stems from a shallow connection to my football (soccer) team Celtic FC.

@Caramel

I was a Nets fan until they left NJ.
My username is short for "Brooklyn can get these Nets"

If the Spurs close it out.....Leonard seems to be mvp choice.

Same here along with Paul George he seems like a shockingly low draft pick, then again both are in great teams and his regular season averages have been pretty low. So are you not supporting a team at this point? The Nets are one of the few teams i was dissapointed at for moving city, since they were just becoming a NBA staple with their 2 finals appearances as well as the stars they'd had, Kidd,Carter,Mutumbo,Garnett,Pierce, etc. Also i doubt even NY posters would disagree that NY have enough franchises alread in the four major North American leagues.

Spoelstra is a child, other than Popovich , Doc Rivers is the only other above average coach at this point imo.

During the Bad Boys 30 for 30 doc. Isiah Thomas mentioned how physically and mentally draining it was for the Pistons to keep going deep in the playoffs for that 4 year stretch....lose to boston...lose to la..win ring..win ring

I can see it in the faces of Lebron and company....four years in the finals...and all of the rounds are best of seven now....unlike in isiah's run

dudes are tired..

the chatter about spo is gonna be

why didn't he run any plays?
why couldn't the heat defend the pick n roll?
how come the heat didn't make any game to game adjustments?
why didn't the heat employ a zone on defense?

This finals was like those lopsided Superbowls from the 1980s

Agreed.

Congrats to the Spurs, just one title behind the Bulls now as third most winners. Well done to Duncan and Popovich fifth ring for both, also to Leonard for getting the Finals MVP.

Erik Spoelstra is the Barry Switzer of the NBA. His team won in spite of his lack of coaching. The Spurs are the antithesis of that - they win because of Popovich. Well, done San Antonio. It's great to see a true team win rather than a bunch of All-Stars trying to assemble a roster. Other than the Spurs, the last team to win who were not a collection of superstars was the 2004 Pistons.

Maybe in all of sports. And there has probably never been a pair of classier superstar teammates in the history of American team sports than Tim Duncan and David Robinson.

Yeah, really. The Jordan-Pippen Bulls were one of the all time great teams. You know what else? They haven't won a championship since those guys left.

The Spurs, on the other hand, have won multiple championships since David Robinson left, and the Lakers have won a championship since Shaq left.

Duncan won multiple championships without Robinson. Kobe won a championship without Shaq. But Pippen couldn't win one during Jordan's first retirement, and the Bulls haven't won a championship since those guys retired.

And for the record, I'm a hapless Knicks fan. They haven't won a championship since my freshman year of high school (1973) lol.

I'm of the opinion that the Jordan "retirement" had more to do with his gambling problem. I also think that his father's murder had some connection to Michael's gambling. The NBA was never going to formally suspend the face of its league, so I think for everyone's benefit Jordan "retired" in 1993.

That aside, I also think that the Bulls would have won 8 straight titles had Jordan's career not been interrupted, whether it was a true retirement or an informal suspension. This would have been on par with Bill Russell's domination with the Celtics in the 1960s. As it was, two sets of "3 peats" was amazing. Had Jordan and Phil not left in 1998, the Bulls probably could have won a title again in 1999. It would have been interesting seeing a Jordan vs. Kobe or Duncan Finals, although Phil Jackson would not have jumped ship to L.A. if Michael was still playing.

Jordan's sudden, temporary retirement was certainly bizarre. Though he claimed that he wanted to spend more time with family, he then embarked on a strange journey of minor league baseball where he had no future, but he did get to play for Terry Francona.

I completely agree with all of this, as well as everything Goombah said. A Spurs-Bulls 99 finals would've been very interesting, as i don't see the 99 Knicks side beating the Bulls with Jordan, sorry PB grin . Jordan was clearly declining in 98, but i think he couldve had one last championship run. Even when he came back with the Wizards after two years out he still managed to average 26 ppg.

Another thing i believe is that Jordan should have the most MVP awards with 7 or maybe even 8. As well as the wins he got, i believe he should've got the 93 and 97 wins, and that he also has a claim for Magics third in 89. Not to mention the two years he retired during his prime.
