Most of the big crime bosses are in jail of claim to have gone legit. However, there recently was a bust in Islington, North London with ties to the Adams crime family. Adams in one way or another is still pretty much active.

In Southeast London there are the Arifs -Turkish Cypriots but would identify themselves as Londoners first and foremost. They've also calmed down, but still play a significant role in the local underworld.

South London on the other hand is home to several families: Brindle, Daley and Walker being the most well known. Don't hear much about the Walkers, but the Brindles and Daleys are -despite Tony Brindle busted for large scale drug trafficking- most likely still very much active. South of the Thames is known for being a hellhole home to family vendettas and blood feuding you'd expect to see in Northern Albania, Corsica or Turkey instead of a modern city like London.

East London, more specifically Canning Town, is the birthplace of the Hunt family. It's family "patriarch" currently lives in Essex but owns a lot of property in the East End. He was involved in a libel suit against The Times last year. The criminals connected to him are most likely still very much active. Other parts of the East End are overrun with disorganized petty black and Bangladeshi gangs, completely destroying the traditional character and atmosphere of 90% of the East End suburbs.

There probably are some other families (including a lot of insignificant ones) in London, including some in Essex and Kent. But these are the most well known
