Well put. No matter where you stand on the sentence, I think the Judge acted within his rights.

And on that basis, I'll be shocked if it gets reversed on appeal. But stranger things have happened. But hey, at least Dino will be smiling for the first 17 years whistle.

Lol @ this guy. Maybe if he wasn't blogging and fighting for the revolution he might have got less than 18 joints. But then again maybe they would have got him for murder....

In the Federal System the judges don't play fair any more than the FBI and the prosecutors. If Gioeli was younger, they just would have given him more time, like they did with Little Dino. It's all relative. I doubt either one of them is ever walking out of prison.

Nor should they.

How long did Dino get? He's young isn't he?

Pretty sure he's around 42. They slammed him with 50 years.

Exactly, a de facto life sentence for a guy his age. Tommy's only in his early 60's. But he's in terrible health and the 10 years that he has left don't give him a very good chance of ever seeing Brooklyn again. But you never know.

Not to be a dick, but I called that one at least two years in advance. I said that no matter what happened with the murder charges, that if they were found guilty of the RICO that the judge would sentence them as if they were cop killers. Now I'm not saying it's right, but that's exactly what happened.

its gonna be weird to see what big dino and this guy joe comp get for time no one was convicted on any of the murders these guys flipped on and it was proven some didn't have anything to do with the Colombo family, and well the cop I just cant see the judge giving less then 15yrs. im bet a judge doent want to be the judge to let these guys off easy to appease the gov on sentencing day. just killing a young guy with a sledge hammer for no reason the Brooklyn d.a. should prosecute in state court for a life sentence. they were talking about retrying tommy shots in state court for the cop for some headlines. I read tommy shots blog some of it really makes good points. he really calls out some feds for shady dealings and you know that pisses them off casue were theres smoke there fire.

I hear you PB, didn't Marino only do like 3 years for ordering a hit on his own nephew? Ridiculous.

I mean wtf it Gioli doing giving interviews and running an internet blog? That's worse then Joey Merlino having an Instagram page, even if he does survive prison, which is a slimt possibility, there's no chance he'll be welcomed back, saying that the Colombo's will probably be in even worse shape then.
