Big difference, the DeMeo crew werent " sadistic", they just kiilled to eliminate a witness. I dont know if they actually liked seeing someone suffer,thatis what sadistic is. Their victims were killed quickly.

They all killed their victim's relatively quickly. I think the only time Pitera didn't was when he suspected two of his crew of being rats. He shot them multiple times in the extremities before another crew member finally gave in and shot them in the head.

The DeMeo crew had a guy nicknamed Dracula. If that does not denote sadism nothing does.

He was called Dracula because no one saw him during the day and he lived in an apartment above the Gemini Lounge. He helped clean up the mess from the murders. It's not like he went drinking blood from the victims or bathing in it. It was just a moniker given to him that stuck.

True, but all of those guys would be considered at least sociopaths if not sadists. Sadists they may not be but anyone who can commit cold blooded murder on a scale like these guys have something missing that the rest of polite society possesses. But I guess that's why they are criminals to begin with.

And on a side note, having a name like Dracula is pretty bad ass. Not too many people would want to F with you

I have read Murder Machine a couple times and I don't recall reading that "Dracula" actually killed anyone. He was involved yes, but actually doing the killing no.
Gaspipe Casso was pretty brutal when he killed Hydell, but that was pretty personal. Iceman was mostly BS. between Pitaro and the Gemini crew, I think Gemini killed the most, but Pitaro did seem as though he enjoyed it more, so who knows? This is rhetorical anyway

But Roy had his ever loyal Freddie Dinome, Chris Rosenberg (mean dude despite his small size), Henry Borelli (a proven shooter) and the Twins (arguably two of the best foot soldiers a mob guy could ask for).

The Demo Crew killed quickly BUT they did dismmember and joke about it which is pretty sadistic. Tommy Pitera took the killings/dismmeberment seriously and actually studied about it. Murder IN were killers but they probably didnt do teh tings that demeo and pitera did

I don't know if sitting around eating Pizza while waiting for the blood to drain from a victim would be sadistic or just plain sick.

I usually dont post on "whos better pitera or gravano" threads but i can tell you this...Demeos crew and Pitera are just Murder Inc.'s legacy....and thats that....You cannot compare them,because the group introduced the criminal world to new murder methods.They had over 20 hitmen with different sadistic styles and methods,travelling from coast to coast.God knows what they really did?!
