I think it was more influence than power. Other than the Cuban casinos and some investments in similar ventures in Florida and Vegas, Lansky was more or less out of the life by the time of his twilight years.

Agree. I remember years ago I think it was Giancana's daughter was saying how she thinks her moms ex-bf was killed by Giancana so he could date her mom. She said it in a proud way like "that's true love". Absolutely disgusting.

Yeah, I would definitely take any of what she says with a grain of salt. She was pretty much ostracized from the rest of the family upon Meyer's death and was seen as wild and lived a reckless lifestyle.

Yes that was a very good find. It's always interesting reading stuff on the mafia legends, Even if some of the stuff is a little far fetched due to close relationships. Meyer Lansky in my opinion is one of the most interesting people in LCN history.
