Woman confesses to being U.S.'s most prolific female serial killer.

A teenager has confessed to being a serial killer who gave up counting after she murdered more than 22 people as part of a satanic cult.

The claims came to light because she wanted to get the it off her chest and end all the killings according to the F.B.I.

19-year-old Maranda Barbour's confession came after she and her husband were arrested for a November murder of a stranger and charged with criminal homicide, assault and robbery, court records say.

The woman gave an interview to a local paper and the F.B.I. have to take the claims seriously considering the charges and evidence that Pennsylvania police already have against her and her husband, Elytte Barbour (22), in relation to the murder of Troy LaFerrara (42) on November 11.

The killer couple were married just weeks before they carried out the murder of LaFerrara, Police say, as they investigate the claims that the local newspaper, the Daily Item, published after an interview with her in prison on Saturday.

In it, Maranda Barbour admits the LaFerrara killing and claims to have been part of a satanic cult from the age of 13.

“Barbour said she began killing people shortly after she joined the cult while living in Alaska and "stopped counting" when "I hit 22" slayings”, the Los Angeles Times report.

The local Police Chief Steve Mazzeo told the Daily Item said that "we are seriously concerned and have been in contact with the proper authorities" , as they try and investigate what is possibly the U.S.’s most prolific serial killer.

Barbour claimed to have murdered and “participated in killings” in Texan, and California, but mostly in in Alaska, according to the LA Times.

“I feel it is time to get all of this out, I don’t care if people believe me. I just want to get it out,” Barbour told the local paper.

It is understood that she requested the interview.

It's also guaranteed to be entirely untrue. It is amazing that the media takes lying morons' comments at face value.

Life for one murder? Damn, I think the average sentence for murder 1 here in Canada is like 15 years.

edit: I just looked it up, it's actually 25 years with no chance of parole until those 25 years are up. still pretty stiff.

She is originally from the Raleigh NC area and so far no missing persons are identified as well as in other states. It's beginning to look like she is in a fantasy world.
