Anyone post-RICO who died outside prison, and had minimal time in prison overall.

Yeah I agree , it was far easier being a mobster pre Rico . People like joey massino would have gone down as one of the greatest mobsters ever if he hadn't ratted

Never shined his shoes but respected the man to the end of the earth. I knew him from the time I could walk.A huge baseball fan and historian, and a memerobelia dealer. He used to wear an Armini suit and Bruno maglis to go get a coffee and the Florentine pastry shop. Would donate thousands evey year to St Mary of Carmel Church and to the feast of St Cosmo/St Damemen. He would walk into the Alpine East and order a bottle of wine for every table. He kept the fragile peace between Buffalo and the Buffalinos for decades. It was falcone who facilitated the farm house in Marcy NY where Joe Bonnano was kept when Magiddino took him. Even during the unpleasentness between the Colombos and Buffalo, Persico himself ordered hands off Mr Falcone, who was semi retired by then.
