Mickens was HUGE..had Laurelton almost to himself and stayed out of most of the BS they had in other parts of Queens. Free man these days. Fuertados were insanely huge as well and outlasted nearly everyone they at one point supplied...The second most interesting era of New York in my opinion, behind only Harlem from 30's-70's

the "hip hop cop" wrote a book that details a lot of the underworld meets hip hop stories of the past ...

think it's called "notorious c.o.p."

Killers and kingpins turn informant all day everyday so I put more stock into what was written in his book than in some of the info floating around from people who get interviewed in f.e.d.s magazine

Feurtados have made a complete 180 and are working to reverse the cycle of violence in urban streets. even Bill Cosby has cosigned their efforts.

they have a doc. called "king of kings" that details their street activities and their current work.

lot of the"reformed drug kingpins" are still engaged in crime, but these guys are the real deal.

Also think the Feurtados are Dominican not from P.R.

PRs and DRs generally don't get along on the streets out in NYC andsomewill get offended being mistaken for the other group.

i dated a PR girl for 5 years...i know the difference and the disdain for each other...typing fast and didnt care to be accurate or not

read Notorious COP but the author does way to many patting on the back of himself...a good read but dont take it for gospel

makes accusations and doesnt back them up with any factual evidence, just hearsay

There was another theory that stretches shooting was in retaliation for tupacs botched robbery, considering that his killing happened at the same time a year later it is a bit of a weird coincidence. However i believe it probably was because he robbed supreme for 10 kilos.

What about eric b and his associations with people like the original 50 cent and Ben o gar a aka killer ben?

You guys missed out Chaz Williams

Chaz Williams
Before Steven Soderbergh’s Oceans movie series made bank robbing fashionable, there was Chaz Williams. Williams was a brazen bank robber known for his prison escapes and countless shoot-outs with the law. When one particular robbery went awry, resulting in a security guard catching a gunshot wound to the head, Williams’ string of luck ended and he was sentenced to a total of 95 years. After obtaining degrees in business and knocking his original prison sentence down to 15 years via appeals, Chaz came home looking for a new lease on life through the music game.
Staying close to his Jamaica, Queens roots, Williams had a hand in molding the career of a young 50 Cent, once managed Foxy Brown and his Blackhand Entertainment franchise player Grafh amongst others. A mainstay behind the scenes, Chaz remains militant with his independent approach to the game. And, odds are he’s probably helped your favorite rapper get his jewelry back somewhere along the line.

AND on Paid In Full by eric b and rakim the orginal 50 cent is pictured on the cover or back cover of the album, i think back

Yeh its also been said that chaz had something to do with 50 cents shooting aswell 50 mentions it i believe in his song "Many men". Didn't know he had something to do with Czar entertainment.

killer ben was killed a while back before biggie, i read an article once saying it was in retaliation for robbing biggie and a few others at gun point after an awards show and that maybe hatian jack or king tut was involved.

What dealings did eric b have with sure knight?

So are you saying a conversation with Puffy and Biggie would...

2Pac: I wouldn't sit down and have a conversation with Puffy and Biggie..because that's like Scarface sitting down with the dude he's hoping to rule. They are not on my level..but I can sit down with the OGs and from there [back east] which we are doing. People need to now we're not beefing with the East coast.. We're about to start Death Row East with Eric B and all the OG ni%%uhs out there. We got Big Daddy Kane.. Christopher Williams..we're trying to get Bobby Brown.
We're trying to get the East coast Death Row to be like the West Coast Death Row and make it major. We're not doing that until we get this business settled.. Even while we're doing this we're trying to get Wu-Tang.. I feel as though they represent the east coast the way we represent the west coast and I love them. If everybody's raps is what they really think then everybody should understand what I'm doing. It's gangsta shit..It's warrior shit.. and it's all by the rules of the game. I'm calling for dialogue. I'm gathering attention for dialogue which is what you do in a struggle for power.

thats what i read too, i found the article from xxl.
http://www.xxlmag.com/news/bloggers/2006/07/the-realest-killer/
Quote:
According to this [confidential informant], there was a robbery at the Source Awards in Manhattan that never got reported to the police: a guy named Zack with Biggie and the Bad Boy camp had his gold chain stolen. I received word that Ben O’Gara–aka Killer Ben, the notorious gunman from Myrtle Avenue in North Brooklyn–had something to do with that. Not soon after, Killer Ben was shot with a .40-caliber handgun while talking at a pay phone in his Myrtle Avenue stomping grounds.

Informants in the street tell me Ben’s death was payback for that robbery, with Biggie commissioning the hit.

Cheech,

check your pm

--------------------------------

unrelated to that..

I just made the point about PRs and DRs because I saw your avi and wasn't sure what your background was....regionally or ethnically.

You know, your man Michael Imp. was in "Lean on Me"? He was one of the hoodlums that Joe Clark rounded up in the auditorium and kicked out.
