Sorry if these have been posted before, its the FBI wiretap tapes of Donnie Brasco(Joseph Pistone)and Lefty Ruggierio.

Its amazing how good Al Pacino and Johnny Depp got the likeness and accents down to a tee for the movie.

Lefty really loved Brasco. Donnie aggravated Ruggierio so much with Mirra and Rocky, if Benjamin and Sonny Black did not think so much of Brasco, he would have been killed. Rocky really almost blew everything up for Pistone.

I dont think Lefty loved Brasco although he did like him. Lets face it Lefty saw in Brasco a way to make money. Joe Pistone went undercover as a jewel thief and since being in the FBI gave him access to confiscated jewelery he was able to bring that around to lefty. I think Sonny Black loved "Donnie" in fact he told his girlfriend that before he was killed

Yeah Sonny was closer to Donnie than Lefty was, despite what the movie portrayed

Wasn't Brasco best man in Lefty's wedding?

I think yes, but it was a city hall wedding with 5-10 people there and the reception was at their capo Mike Sabella's restaurant in Little Italy (which is still there)and then they went uptown to watch flamenco dancing.

So it may have been less of a big deal then it seems.
