Would anyone be able to make a list going back to 1931 to the extent possible?

Hahaha Benny Eggs could write quite the interesting memoir.

Though I am specifically interested in (1) The Ianiello Crew succession (was this really Joey Adonis's?) and (2) The Corona Crew (pre-Fed).

The 118th St. succession is clear. How about Earnie's Crew?

Cafaro made it clear that there have always been 14 regimes. It may be easier to figure out than it sounds.

Not easy, believe me.

These are the 14 captains mentioned by Cafaro:

  • Alo
  • Ardito
  • Bellomo
  • Cantarino
  • Contaldo
  • DeFeo
  • Gaccione
  • Gatto
  • Generoso
  • Gerardo
  • Ianiello
  • Loiacono
  • Lombardi
  • Scibelli

If I had to narrow it down to 14 crews I'd say this

Bellomo
Borelli
Cirillo
Dentico
DeVita
Gangi
Ianniello
Gallo
LaScala
Leo
Messera
Parello
Romanello
Tuzzo

A lot of guys who have been id'd as captains have come from other captains so who can say for sure these guys still don't answer to their old captains. Or possible admin guys who have handed down there crews. I took of some guys like ninny bc he came from Larry favs crew. Maybe he runs Larry's crew and Larry is retired.... Other guys may not have been perminent. I personally think theirs more than 14, but this is if I had to guess. Federici and Malangone have stepped down. Fritzy was knocked down. So was longo. Antico and Tuzzo came from generosos crew. Muscarella and Falcetti were at one time under Barney. Guys like barbato and pagano may ultimately be under Cirillo. Older guys like mangano and maniscalco and Frustaci are no longer captains. Aparo ran his own crew at one time but I left him off. Just an educated guess

Is there anything left in springfield? It seems that two top guys in an outlying crew like that flipping wold kill it.

Pretty sure Felix was never boss and possibly never a capo. Not sure if that's what you were implying. There might be one old timer who's made still in the area but for all I know he could've died recently. Mario Fiore I believe is the name. I don't know who is "running" things if there's anything to be run by anyone. I don't know too much about AA but the Geas brothers, Ty and Freddie (Fotios) were the real deal. It's kind fucked up how those 2 kept their mouths shut and went to trial and doing life. They didn't order the hit on Al Bruno or pull the trigger but were obviously involved and Felix and Anthony and a couple others were the guys who started the whole thing etc and got pretty good deals. I think Felix only got 4 years and AA will be sentenced in march I believe. My cousin is a prison guard in Ludlow and he had a few good stories about Freddy Geas while he was held there. Those 2 brothers knew how to fight and loved beating people up.

The feds had him listed as a captain.

I think the succession for the 116th crew is messed up. It has Phil Lombardo as the capo through '81 when he was supposed to be boss at the time. It misses Fat Tony, Buckaloo Ferro, and Sammy Santora. Lombardo was the de facto capo for that crew once Coppola was jailed. Once he got out he was more or less shelved and Lombardo briefly took the crew over full-time before becoming boss. Fat Tony took over as capo and still visited Trigger Mike in FL up until he died.

That guy trigger mike c I think I read in fat tony FBI shit he got out of prison and retired to Boston and fat tony would travel there to see him. And FBI got him dying sometime in mass general in the early 60 tys maybe 63. Maybe Vito genovese had him run out of NYC. Or he might have married a broad from Boston.

The Springfield crew as of 2007 were very active shaking down strip clubs like there cousins baby shacks. Anthony was getting like 5 or 10 k a month from them 2 clubs out there. Nigro wat ever his position in 2004 had him Anthony goin strait to the Bronx. After they killed all Bruno I don't think they named another capo for the crew. All Bruno had aa and the geas brothers dig a hole in 03 for trangese but in court it came out that Bruno nixed it so they put some other state informant in the hole. Then nigro had trangese beat up by the geas brothers in 05 talk about no respect he said he was made in 1982. Nigro kinda fucked up a good crew and now his kid got caught in a kiddy porn sting bad shit.

"Malagone Crew: Broke off from the Greco-Gangi Crew.
Cosmo Fresca (1960s-1975) Died.
Thomas Contaldo (1975-Late 1980s)
-Alphonse “Allie Shades” Malangone (1980s) Became Official Capo.
Alphonse “Allie Shades” Malangone (Late 1980s-Present) Imprisoned.
-Alan “Baldie” Longo (1996-2001) Imprisoned."

This crew was originally headed by Tommy "Bullets" Licata, a Lower Manhattan guy. When he died in 1952, the crew merged with a Brooklyn crew and the new skipper became Cosmo Frasca. In late 1960s, Frasca had legal problems and was also subpoenaed so he temporarily stepped down and made Anthony "Hickey" DiLorenzo the acting captain. DiLorenzo was a younger guy but none of the senior members wanted the job. When DiLorenzo was indicted in the early 1970s, Frasca was back as crew leader. Sometime later in the 1970s, Frasca stepped down due to old age. It´s possible that the crew was then disbanded and split, because none of the other guys in that succession line (Contaldo, Malangone and Gangi) were Frasca crew members.

For the Lucchese family whos crew did Joseph DiNapoli take over?

East Harlem Crew:
Giovanni “Big John” Ormento (1950s-1959) Imprisoned.
Carmine "Mr. Gribs" Traumunti (1959-1967) Became Boss.
Antonio "Tony Ducks" Corallo (1967-1972) Became Boss.
Samual Cavalieri (19?-1987) Died.
Anthony “Bowatt” Baratta (1987-1992?)
- Anyone know whoo took over his Crew? Maybe Mathew Madonna and or Johnny "Hooks" Capra?
I have it a little different:

The East Harlem/Bronx Crew - in the 1950s this crew could have split into the Ormento Crew, Bronx/Westcher crew and others
1. Tom Reina - becomes boss
2. Tommy Gagliano - becomes boss
3. (19??-1930) Tommy Lucchese - became underboss

Bronx/Westchester crew
1. (19??-1950s) Vincent Rao - becomes consiglere
Anthony Castaldi (19??-1981) Died.
-Anthony “Buddy” Luongo (1980s) Became Official Capo.
Anthony “Buddy” Luongo (1980s-1986) Killed.
Anthony “Antonio” Ciccone (1986-1987) Died.
Samual “Sammy Bones” Castaldi (1987-1990) Stepped Down.
Steven “Stevie Wonder/Herbie” Crea (1990-1994) Became UnerBoss.
Anthony "Blue Eyes" Santorelli (1994-Present)

"Harlem Crew"/Ormento Crew (drug crew)
1. (1950s-1960s) John Ormento
2. (19??-1992) Anthony Baratta
3. Maybe (1998-present) Matthew Madonna

I've never heard of John Buonorado. Anybody got more information on this guy?

Makes you think. Makes you think about the people in your life. And when I think, I think of Neil. If he were here now what would he say? He would say "John what's it about? What's life about... if you dont go through it as a man's man?". He'd say "Suck it up, take the fall do the time. That made you what you are. That makes you what you are. How long have we been around this thing of ours? This Cosa Nostra? 120 years. What's it about? It's about the rules, perimeters. You take the beating for a friend, you don't run, you don't lay down, you don't betray who you are. What you are.

I was asking because there's really not much information about his early days in the Genovese Crime Family. So when you say forever, 1940's or 1950's? I'm sure he was in the family before the 60's.

I think the person who wrote the chart was referring to John "Johnny Cigars" Buonarobo. Although there is not much information on him either.

According to his FBI file, Thomas Greco took over Lucky Luciano's crew.

The capo who came before Paul Vario was Salvatore "Don Turi" Curiale. He was the Luchese boss for Brooklyn until he retired in the late 1950s. JD figured this out. Here's his info:
Name: Salvatore Curiale
Birth: 21 May 1887
Death: Sep 1978 - Brooklyn, Kings, New York, USA
Civil: New York
