Huron Social Athletic Club. Been past there and they've got a bar and everything. I don't know for sure, but I swear there's a couple of small spots in my neck of the patch as well.

Some of the guys hang out at Richards at Milwuakee/Grand/Halsted intersection. I think a lot use social clubs or various restaraunts around the city and suburbs.

I've been to City Pool Hall a few times. A guy I used to work with was in a pool league and he would always try to drag us there after work. My co-worker was from out of state and had no idea about the Chicago Outfit. I told him that it was owned by the outfit (maybe not 100% owned but I know that Cozzo is said to have money invested in the place). Turns out my co-worker got into a disagreement with one of the Cozzo's about a game of pool. I worked last night in the Grand/Ogden neighborhood and the more time I spend there it seems the yuppie/hipster element is really moving into the neighborhood. During the day I notice a lot of the older people who have lived in the neighborhood for years but at night the hipsters all come out. Between Twisted Spoke and some of the newer bars in the area it seems the neighborhood is losing is luster.

If I had enough money I would buy crazy real state down Ohio. It's still somewhat affordable right now but I'm sure it's going to be one of the next big ones for the yuppies to scoop up.

Yes it's really a mixture these days of million-dollar new construction and still old neighborhod people, with a fair amount of Hispanics, particularly north of Ohio.
It's such a beautiful neighborhood though, I can't imagine it not turning into Lincoln Park II over the next 20 years. Grand is constantly gentrifying and Chicago Avenue is completely gentrified up there, so it's basically in a gentrification trap.
Oh well neighborhoods always change in a city, that is just the way it is. Better it turn nice than turn into a ghetto.

My old apartment at Grand and Noble I was paying $850 a month for a one bedroom. The neighborhood is definitly changing. You also have section 8 housing in the area that brings crime. I wish I had the money to buy property. A lot of nice condos are being put up along Hubbard st. near City Pool Hall. I'm sure Chris Spina owns some of the property. He was smart and started investing his money in the neighborhood. He wanted $800,000 for the building that has the Aberdeen Tap in it.
