That shocks me don't prosecutors call mobsters made guys and different names all the time.Calling criminals a ''pack'' gets a murder conviction overturned.I remember the thing with Milano flipping and they said they didn't have enough time to counter act that.Somrthing like that.

Uncle Joe got really really lucky. Subsequently, it appears the supreme court of the state hasn't stuck to this legal standard. So he got a really favorable panel and got lucky.

Should probably ask Mr. Kierney. I guess if you're Italian, you should be in prison.

Should be interesting to see if the Judge pulls the plug on this tomorrow afternoon if no more verdicts are decided by then.

not relevant but Angelo Lutz commented on Bigtrial.net

Angelo Lutz January 23, 2014 at 3:22 PM
I have sat hear day after day and read the statements of all your posts on here (No Balls Anonymous Posts). I was sentenced to 97 months in prison & 3 years supervised release. I came home to nothing. No Job, No Life, and most importantly No Mother. She died while I was incarcerated. I could have gotten a visit if after almost 5 years in prison I would have cooperated with the Federal Authorities on ongoing investigations. I elected to do my time like a man. I don't apologize to anyone for the actions that place me in jail. I do however owe an apology to my Mother who I couldn't be there for because of those actions. Today would have been my Mother's 82nd birthday had she lived. Today I live my life as a successful restaurant owner. Everything I have achieved I did through hard work and effort. Many, Many Many periods in which I received no pay in order to redeem myself not only in the eyes of society but in the eyes of both my deceased parents. I asked for nothing but the same rights anybody who wants to sucked in society and business is entitled to. Because of my felony I can't borrow SBA money. I was forced by the government to pay a fine in order to go into business. Guess what, bottom line I broke the law and paid my debt to society. I live my life with a different set of principles today. So I will not have the good name in which I work hard to re-establish be slandered by all the no name anonymous tough guys and gals on here. EVERYONE GROW UP AND GET A LIFE.

The people in George a blog are the worst, he really makes himself look bad that everyone commenting is anonymous and they say some really bad insults to whoever is commenting and talking about these guys and there families, I've tried commenting on there but the prick never posts anything but other peoples dumb shit.
Angelo Lutz is a standup guy and he can go anywhere in america(esp Chicago) and hold his head up high, bent finger Lou coulda did the samething but instead he took the cheese and turned rat, I bet Lou is a lot tougher than Ang physically, but Ang heart is unmatchable, I salute ya BIG GUY from Chicago..and I salute anyone that caught the short end of the stick in life but chose to ride the wave of hard times and not point the finger at a "get outta jail free card" for either lying or telling the truth on someone...God don't like ugly!! God bless

Lutz got a brutal sentence for what he actually did. Pretty stand-up to take it like a man, could have easily did otherwise.

I'm surprised George A. puts up with that shit on the blog. He should probably shut down the comments if thats the type of shit people post.

Wasn't Lutz locked up with Sonny Franzese for a time? I remember reading that somewhere.

He needs to shut down the comments or switch to facebook. It's a fing embarrassment for a decent journalist to have to put up with the animals that comment over there. Last week someone was posting addresses for george's family, going on horrific rants and spamming everything.

George also responds to people, which is akin to rolling around the slop with the hogs.

I heard because he was such highly paid reporter they offered him a buy out and replaced him with some recent college grad at half the pay. The newspaper business is really hurting these days all because the Internet.

This trial has to be over tomo, it's been way 2 long for only 2 defendants and only 5 charges, but I'm starting understand more n more when I think about it why it's taking so long, they filled these jury's heads wit so much evidence that's BS, so they are going through everything 3 times.
It shows the Govt was so desperate on this case, it's sickening what there capable of doing on turning an inch into a foot, anyways they used tapes from 10years ago, (which they previously used to convict Georgie) witnesses like Jack Garcias fats ass (which he don't even know these guys), thousands of tapes that don't incriminate either one, The Rat crumb who's 100 (which) ain't been around in 35 years, there evidence is all hearsay (A guy can say its Unc joes $ on tape, n thats what there trying to convict him on), Last time I checked that's called hearsay n should only be able to be used if the guy who said it will repeat it on the stand, so much bullshizz and on top of it 10 women 1 man, whichever lawyer said pick all the women was genius, women disagree wit each other over everything lol lol, and think about it, your telling me all these guys that are stuck at home wit the kids when normally that's what the mom would do, they ain't googling these guys names every night n updating her lol for sure I can only imagine if it was me what I would be doing lol lol END IT TOMO and #FREETHEGUYS

I know we keep saying it each week but have to think today is the day where if the jury sends a stalemate note to Robreno it should be over. To have them go another weekend would seem like a lost cause. They've had plenty of time off and in deliberations for only 5 counts. At this point it's just looking like poor form on the judge. We'll see but my action would be around 3:30 we hear something definitive if not sooner.

I agree with you Jose....and so does George Anastasia. If the jury comes back this afternoon still deadlocked i think good chance the Judge pulls the plug and declares a mistrial on the remaining counts and announces the verdict(s) the jury has decided on.

JMack...i see your in Camden County...if you get bored theres always the Scarfo bank trial in Camden. Not as good as the trial in philly but it's close to home.

Reputed mob boss Joseph Ligambi and his purported consigliere, George Borgesi were found not guilty. (File photo)
ยป
POSTED: Friday, January 24, 2014, 12:14 PM
A federal jury has acquitted reputed mob consigliere George Borgesi of RICO conspiracy.

In a partial verdict delivered Friday morning, the panel also cleared alleged mob boss Joseph Ligambi on one count of witness tampering. Jurors reported they remained deadlocked on three other counts against the alleged mob don.

U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno sent the panel back just before noon to take an official vote on whether they were deadlocked.

Should the jurors say yes, it would be the second time in two years that the judge declared a mistrial on the same charges.

I hope they do the right thing and cut Joe loose or at least set bail until they can decide how to proceed.

2 trials....and he's been locked up for a decent amount of time already.
