Is all this info from your father or do you have other sources too?

Other Sources too. The name of a book that HE said was good (even though it was filled with some huge exaggerations about power and dollar figures like all books) was Captive City by Ovid Demaris. The Author did not understand or even attempt to explain the Street Crew Structure of the Outfit way back in 1969 when he wrote it, but a lot of his stories were accurate. He also somehow knew what the operating function was of a lot of Outfit guys.

I can add that Rosselli was the Las Vegas guy before Caifano, and Rocco DeGrazia had more going on earlier but had some of his power taken away and given to Battaglia. Although Ferraro wasn't an official underboss, he seems to have operated like one. He not only was direct to the bosses but gave directives to other made guys. He was one of the political guys and was very close to Hump. Most of Demaris's info came from the FBI, the Chicago Crime Commission, various Senate hearings and newspaper articles.

Demaris hardly said anything about Ferraro, Roemer said he was the #2 of the entire Outfit. LOL. One extreme to another.

The truth was somewhere in the middle. Ferraro was a very respected made guy who was direct with Ricca/Accardo before Giancana.
The #2 Boss of the Outfit is a man who has made guys under him full time and is a partner with the Top Boss in everthing. Ferraro gave direction but was not in that position. Another guy who gave direction that was very well respected was Marcy.
