Johnny - I read about this guy during "The Family Secrets" trial. The first story was about extorting a porn shop owner. I believe his name was something like Red Wemette; not sure about the name. Anyway, he was having trouble counting the money, but eventually got it sorted out. Then the article by John Flood running into Schweihs and Lombardo during some kind of robbery or assault. The last story was about this young 18 yr.old girl. Terrible tragedy.

Schweihs was a bad character for sure.

Frank The German grew up on Grand Ave with Lombardo. He operated just like a made guy. There was no difference.
Lombardo loved him. He was a very rough customer.

Hey Gary,

That's right; Red also testified during the trial.

i remember that exchange on the wire. They had Red lie and say that another mobster had been trying to move in on the shop, which caused Schweihs to go apoplectic.

I remember during Family Secrets the judge also said something to him to which he replied "Do I look like a f*g to you?"

Then he died.

There was apparently no justice for Becky Pappas although one could say Schweihs in a sense got his comeuppance when his hilariously low rent daughter had his old corpse exhumed on that awful Chicago Mob Wives show to "make sure he wasn't assassinated" or some such nonsense.

The only reason I find that amusing is that I don't believe for a second his daughter actually thought he was asassinated, which leads one to the inevitable conclusion that she had her dad's rotten corpse exhumed on national TV in a pathetic bid for ratings.

Apple, tree etc.

The German's Daughter is a nut case who went to that extreme for publicity. Could you imagine having her as a girlfriend? Holy shit!

Hahahaha... hell no. They were a rough looking crew. I ran into all of them at the bar at Tuffano's one time.

The owner wouldn't let them film there, even though he'd known many of them his whole life.

Thank goodness that embarrassment went off the air.
