I think giancana fascinates peoples because he was loud and flashy

his tenure as boss was 1957-1966 and he started fucking up in the mid 60s

of course his guys liked him because they were hotheads too

but don't think they didn't jump at the chance to take his spot when it was available

Your Hysterical. You say these stupid comments to try and get attention.
'They were all hotheads'. Like you knew every single made guy in the Taylor St crew. Hysterical!

You are the most uninformed guy about Chicago on all these forums. You also always want to make NASTY remarks about New York. You will be the next one banned. Guaranteed. You do it on purpose FOR ATTENTION.

Stick to the Black Gang Bangers. You are more suited for that topic.

Yeh you did. You said all the Taylor St. men were hotheads like Giancana and they were anxious to take his spot.

1) My father was no hothead.
2) Nobody was glad to see Giancana go from Taylor St.
3) Stop making ridiculous statements of which you know nothing about at all.
4) Stop making wisecracks about New York. I got news for you. Years ago the Outfit could have rivaled any of the 5 New York Families in power and influence. Today, the Outfit is a joke compared to the Genovese Family.

I am a huge fan of Capone and Ricca but I am also a fan of Torri who doesnt seem to get enough credit for what he did. Lets not forget if it wasnt for Torrio who knows what would of ever happen

YOUR DEFINITION OF HOTHEAD COULD APPLY TO ANYONE, including yourself, making threats during the Zimmerman trial.

I'm sorry, but years ago the Outfit was not the same as a Black Street gang, even though you would like it to be.

Torrio is a very interesting character , first he retired than he went to new york to work for the genovese, theres an old fbi report that says the whole american lcn is being controlled by new york and remember torrio and capone is from new york, very interesting

"McGurn likes you, so I make you. So you are now one of us, if you fuck up, we take it out on McGurn. He is your sponsor. Fuck up, it's his ass. You work in his crew, he is your capo."

Torrio first came upon Capone when he was a leader in the Five Points Gang in NY as well as Luciano. Its said that Torrio did help Luciano set up the Commission. Even know Capone is Chicago's house hold name its Torrio who really built the Outfit For Capone and Later Nitti, Ricca, Giancana, and Accardo.

American Lcn controlled by only N.Y.??Wouldnt say that but who knows...anyway back on topic on the Ricca subject.

Don Parrillo(Chicago's Alderman) was the former 1960's city politician in the first ward,so he was a witness to a lot of things that were goin on in thouse days. And it was with Ricca he had his closest relationship. When Parrillo's father passed away at age 48, while Parrillo was in his early 20s, "Ricca was like my surrogate father," he says.

"I'm going to tell you a story," declares Parrillo, "just to show you how powerful these guys were in the entertainment industry at the time."

"One Sunday afternoon (alleged events imply October 7, 1962) I was playing cards with friends, including Ricca's son, in Ricca's basement recreation room" at his three-story home in River Forest .

At a separate table "Ricca was playing poker with five other people. Periodically, we could hear music and applause coming from the third floor...Ricca's wife was entertaining some ladies' group."

"After a while, she came down to the recreation room with a very handsome young man from Italy who had a guitar strapped around his neck. 'Oh, Papa, I just love this young man,' she said. 'He's got such a beautiful voice. Can you help him?' "

" 'Well, what does he want?' Ricca asked his wife, who then turned to the young singer and asked, 'What do you want, young man?' "

" 'I'd like to be on the Ed Sullivan Show,' he said. So she said, 'When would you like to go on it?' and he replied, 'As soon as possible.' "

"Now, this is the hottest variety show in America and all the talent in America was trying to get on this show."

"So Ricca said to the guy seated next to him, 'Call the Jew in California and tell him to put this guy on the Ed Sullivan Show next Sunday.' "

"Well, the following Sunday I was glued to my TV set. And sure enough, about halfway through the show Ed Sullivan said, 'Now I'm going to introduce you to a handsome young Italian, the greatest voice from Italy....Sergio Franchi!!!
