I haven't read any of Mario's novels yet but I was wondering which one(s) are the best?
And also....I've seen his books in a few shops recently and noticed the cover of The Godfather has been changed....is it possible to find the novel with its original cover with the picture of the puppeteer's hand?

Start with The Godfather. it is still possible to find the original cover with the puppeteers hand. as i've said a few times, they've just released the 30th anniversary edition. i know the new cover your talking about, i've seen it and still wonder why the changed the original . . .

I suggest The Godfather (of course) then The Last Don and Omerta.

"Life is so beatiful" - Don Vito in The Godfather novel
"My name is Michael Corleone...There are people who'd pay a lot of money for that information" - The Godfather

In Order:

1)The Godfather
2)The Sicilian
3)The Last Don
4)Omerta

Chris: "He could be out there stalking us right now..." -Paulie: "With what...his cock!

Tony Soprano : You're looking good. Looking better.
Junior Soprano: Tony, if you're gonna lie to me, tell me there's a broad in the car waiting to tongue my balls.
Tony Soprano : Hey, you want that, it's a phone call away.

The Fortunate Pilgrim and Fools Die are two of my favourites.

The Godfather is the best IMO. Then go with The Sicilian and Omerta.

Leonard: I dont know. See, I have this condition.
Teddy: Well, I hope its not as serious as his, 'cos this guy's dead.

Does the godfather have a sequel novel...or are all the novels unrelated?

I've got a 1969 copy with some ugly face drawn in the bottom right corner. It's all warped and crappy, but eh... definitely a book you can read more than once. smile

I'm having great difficulty getting past the first chapter in the Sicilian. Maybe the font's too big, maybe I'm too easily distracted by shiny objects, but I'm not finding it to be anywhere as gripping as the Godfather. ohwell

I'm a girl, and I just want to have fun.
