I'm from Los Angeles and I don't think Los Angeles ever caught on with the LCN scene.

LCN had a family out there but it always played second fiddle to New York and later Chicago. From what I've read, NY sent Bugsy Siegel and eventually Mickey Cohen out there to run the rackets because the official LCN boss Jack Dragna was running small time shit.

The Jewish syndicate in Cleveland sent out Cohen, but Siegel went to L.A. on his own. He was a boss in his own right.

I believe Tommy Gambino (Carlo's son) is retired and lives in Beverly Hills....not to be confused with Tomasso Gambino who is the son of one of the Cherry Hill Gambinos....who apparently is active out there....I think only time will tell if whatever he is doing out there pans out...

Tomasso is in LA, not Tommy, with a few other guys. It would seem the best road for the guys in LA would be to get absorbed into the Gambino's.

If they had any vision they would have owned the Internet Porn business when the industry headed that way a decade ago.

Don't under estimate the number of strip cubs and massage houses that could be shook down.
