PB quit mincing words. Tell us what you really mean. I sugarcoat everything. Gives me ulcers, but I'm a giver by nature .

Eric Holder is a fucking bum. Obama would gain instant if fleeting respect from his critics if he would just shitcan his sorry ass. See, Oli? No big words. That's the Bronx right there, straight from the heart. What else you gotta know? Tell him: New Yorkers talk so fast the words can not be typed that quick. Our mind run so fast we just use simple words, or we leave words out. You don't need to use big words because you are not billing people hugh amounts of money like those high price lawyer do.

The NY Times ripped him a new one today. I read yesterday's editorial. It hits the nail on the head. Despite a Constitutional provision, as an attorney DT you know how much latitude there is when it comes to establishing "probable cause". of course, I'm concerned about the judgement of the federal judge that granted the warrant. Oli, have you ever had the "pleasure" of watching a judge sign a stack of warrants presented to him by an assistant prosecutor? On two ocasions I saw a judge (the same one) sitting there in chambers with a stack of warrents and with an assistant state attorney in the room. Both times the judge asked "Is there probable cause in all these?" The attorney said "Yes," and the judge just went through the pike and signed them all He did not read one of them. With the press it is supposed to be harder to pull something like this off. The common law used to afford protection, but most of that has withered away. The only remedy left them is a shield law. Bottom line is when you have competing interests of national security and free press, the former will always trump the latter, and unfortunately, politics is going to seep into this process no mattter who is in office. I am not judging Obama and Holder on what they did, but to me it stinks to high heaven, and I am sure if it had been W and Ashcroft my hair would be on fire.

I am not judging Obama and Holder on what they did, but to me it stinks to high heaven, and I am sure if it had been W and Ashcroft my hair would be on fire. That's vey big of you to admit, DT. Because A LOT of liberal Democrats who "aren't judging" Holder and Obama, sure would have "judged" Dubya and Company. The truth is, they ALL deserve to be judged. They're all narcissistic reprobates who don't give a shit about you or anybody else. Right and Left. Republican and Democrat. There's not a politician alive who I'd piss on to put out a fire.

He is in his second term, and if he wants to make a mark for himself he is going to need to "man up" and take some bold steps, and let the chips fall where they may. If he wants to go down in the same league as LBJ or Reagan this is necessary. If not he will go down more like the first Bush to his supporters -- a decent honest guy, but not a great president, or as a Jimmy Carter to his detractors -- an ineffective wimp.
Agreed. He is in his second term, and if he wants to make a mark for himself he is going to need to "man up" and take some bold steps, and let the chips fall where they may.
Exactly. I am disappointed with the way he has handled these scandals; he seems no different then any of his predecessors. Had these scandals emerged prior to the election, I might not have voted for him. You and me both.

There is a good book out there called "The President's Club," w Great book. One of the first books I ever read on my Kindle app for Android.
