This past weekend Michael Bay's movie PAIN & GAIN was released starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson. The movie (plus title) were based off a 1999 series of articles printed in the Miami New Times about the "Sun Gym Gang" crime spree in 1994/95 where a bunch of bodybuilders teamed up to torture and extort fortunes out of their victims.

Here are the original articles. Must read for true crime buffs.

Anyone see the movie? Any good? I'm usually not a big fan of Marky Mark's but the trailers do look pretty decent. I remember reading about these guys years ago.

I read the movie had a pretty decent box office over the weekend too. Might have to check this one out.

It was OK, but like Michael Bay's other movies it just drags badly like a dog with worms, among other problems. Maybe his best movie ever, which is sorta a backhanded compliment.

Yet I still say its worth seeing. I might do a full review this week.
