They did a lot of damage but they're not even close to being wiped out. They'll be around awhile. It's not like they're the Chicago family .

Ralph deleo has lot of contacts in mass being from somerville, small little city right outside of boston, do you guys think he has someone who is from the city (boston) thats is directly connected or even assocaited with the colombos to keep the colombos of having whatever rackets they have here, mostly drugs, so they can keep operating and generating the revenue the was.... i know that during the old colombos wars in the 60's old man profaci asked ray sr for men and and old man ray sent jr russo nicky bianco pop werner and bunch of other guys to help
raymond l.s.patrairca sr to u.s. state committee- " if i didnt have my case coming up ill to come back in here with two gentlemen and when this is over with and really lay down the law, yous guys been giving me nothing but alot of hookwhick and i wish i wasnt on trial and have this case and really tell the united states whats going on " Jerry Anguilo on wartime with winter hill - " If we got to war we got Joe Russo and the maverick boys so we have nothing to worry about they can go to vietnam and come back untouched "

Tommy Shots: They want me running the family, don't they know I have a young wife? Sal Vitale: (laughs) Tommy, jump in, the water's fine.

In the sweep of 2011 two years ago, the Feds indicted the entire Colombo administration. I'm not positive, but with the sentencing of Dennis DeLucia I think it's wrapped up now. What's everyone's opinion on how the government fared against them? Already being the smallest, arguably the weakest, and most geographically confined NY family; the recent hits they took had to inflict major, lasting damage. Having to bring Donnie Shacks out of at least semi-retirement suggests how many of their top guys are in prison or otherwise unavailable. With Local 6A possibly be gone (only time will tell), their remaining labor influence is in question. That said, we also have to remember the feds were predicting their imminent demise 20 years ago during the last Colombo war. Since the, the feds have been much more careful about making those rosy predictions. These NY families are different from all the rest. Taking them out is a very slow process. And it has more to do with keeping them in check with repeated indictments while attrition takes it's toll.
