There's not any news yet on who did it but i'm guessing a domestic terrorist for some reason i guess we'll just have to wait and see. Very grim stuff frown

Supposedly, according to the local news, BPD did a controlled detonation near the library so they may have found a third bomb.

New York Post posted saying 12 dead 50 injured, thats a bit of an exaggeration from what they're reporting here, supposedly though they have a suspect in the bombing and that person is wounded at the hospital and is being guarded, haven't heard about that yet locally though.

Confused reports of a fire at the John F Kennedy Library in Boston. The library has confirmed there were flames in what appears to be the mechanical room of one of its new buildings but says: "Any tie to Boston Marathon explosions is pure speculation".

I was going to be happy to report that our own marathoner, krlea, completed the race (in an excellent time - sub 2:50). She's one of the top finishing women!! She posted on Facebook that she's OK, and so are her own friends, but she doesn't have any real news about what is happening now.

What a sick fucking world we live in!

I just found out that two of my aunt's cousins were helping out that the finish line when the explosion occured, and she can't get ahold of them. I am hoping they are okay, and that it is simply the backed up phone lines and cell signals that are keeping them out of contact. frown

This is looking more like domestic terrorism than foreign, but nobody knows yet. The fact that today is tax day in the U.S. might even be a factor. Who knows what drives some sick people.
