So if a young girl gets raped, and is ashamed to tell her parents about it, and wants to "take care of it" without her parents knowing, you don't think she should have access to this pill? most certainly not! first off, in the case of a rape, the police should be notified right off the bat. if we are gonna go down this route, despite the serious(and justified) moral objections, why even consider 18 the age of adulthood anymore? let teens screw whoever they want, but booze whenever they want, start driving at 12, and hell, they should be able to just sign out of school as well!

The reality is that teens are gonna do what they're gonna do, rules be damned. I don't see the harm in making the Plan B pill accessible to these girls.

The reality is that teens are gonna do what they're gonna do, rules be damned. I don't see the harm in making the Plan B pill accessible to these girls. i take a libertarian view on most things, but there has to be a limit. where that limit lies is always the cause of conflict. like i said, if this is allowed, then just scrap the whole concept of being an adult. people are always gonna do what they do, but people need to be held responsible for their actions. something like this, over time, will lead to more unsafe sex practices imo. i'm not advocating that teens shouldn't fool around, but this will only make them feel like if they screw up, they are covered. the idea that a teenage girl should be allowed to both hide, and end her pregnancy without her parants/gaurdians even being made aware is crazy to me.
