And it is literally a "little" pocket of a neighborhood. Old cats do play Bocce Ball, summer movies in the park and etc. There has always been Italian festivals as far as I can remember
(way before this Mafia/LCN talk). I've had many Italian friends, school teachers, Sunday school teachers (was raised up in the Catholic Church, altar boy and all that shit).
A little history:
During the 1968 riots after the assassination of MLK, Italian American men stood on the rooftops of their homes with shotguns and pistols ready to protect their neighborhood from rioters.
