Chicago is a big city with a very blue collar feel. New York is just different.

Look at the way New York's mobsters are. Were mobsters even dressing in suits on street corners in Chicago back in the 60's and 70's? In New York it was common to see.

Also would you say that New York had more hits going on than Chicago on an everday basis?

Your thoughts?

I see what your saying but Chicago definitely doesn't have a small town feel.

Let me rephrase my definition......

Its got more of a blue collar feel to it. Small town wasn't the right word.

Snickers, I know what you're saying about the blue collar feel of Chicago. Visited a couple times and always got that vibe from the city (in a good way). Not that I have any experience with Chicago mobsters (or NYC mobsters for that matter) but from pictures they always seemed more laid back and less flashy than their NYC counterparts which is probably mostly due to the east coast generally being flashier. Not sure though...I'm sure the members who have neighborhood experience can add more insight.

I'm waiting on the book that is written about Frank Schweis. I am surprised that they never wrote one about him. He was just as psychotic as Tommy Pitera or Roy Demeo.

Chicago is much cleaner and not so neurotic as New York. New York has a lot more foreigners. To be honest, I hate New York City and would never want to live there. It's a bit of a garbage dump. Long Island is very nice. If I had to live in New York, I would never live in any of the 5 Boroughs but would live out on Long Island somewhere.
