Just wondering about the passion of fans in the US. From watching plenty of US sports, i was wondering just who seems to generate the most passion. Boston folks seem to love their sports,as do New Yorkers and apparently their rivalry is fierce? Philly fans are apparently very vocal and hard to please? Steelers fans seem to pop up everywhere? Chicago fans also are very loyal. However what about New Orleans Saints fans, they turn the SuperDome into a carnival every home game? And Dallas fans also? They are full of themselves, yes?

On the other side i watch the Lakers play basketball and there is no atmosphere and all the cameramen want to do is look at old Jack Nicholson all game!!

Who are the best? Most loyal? Not wanting to start any arguments or anything lol

Over here where soccer is King of course, my home town of Newcastle is football mad, no other sport even comes close. Many other areas of the UK will rightly say they are just as passionate but in Newcastle we have not won a trophy since 1969 and have generally been poor since but we pull in 50,000 fans every home game and take thousands of fans on the road to away games.

I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees!

Chicago fans are definitely the most loyal and best. We got the hawks, bears, bulls, sox, fire, and cubs. All teams games have huge fan bases (including me). And support the teams even when their not good. The hawks national anthem pretty much sums it up.

+1. Well said, Nicky. I love my Chi-Town sports & sports talk radio... something to follow every season. A true fan supports his or her team no matter if they are having a good season or terrible season. It is a sincere passion and cities can live or die by their teams performance. I have never seen so much Blackhawks gear being sported these days - it's awesome!

Speaking of fan loyalty. Read this about fans of losing teams:

I know i am heavily biased since i'm a massive Celtic fan, but some of the best teams in the world have noted Parkheads amazing atmosphere. I would guess they were just being nice but it's amazing the amount of teams that have said it, Barca,Man U, Arsenal, AC, Juventus, etc. It really is amazing at an Old Firm or a Champions League game, whether it's against Barca or Rosenborg (both games i was at). Here's Cristiano Ronaldo saying it has the best atmosphere in the world - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/cristiano-ronaldo-parkhead-atmosphere-is-best-996129

Liverpool obviously helped here lol but i was at this game and the vid does'nt do it justice

Barca fans chant Celtic after champions league game grin

I am a biggest lover of sports and i love to play many sports like cricket, football and badminton. Swimming is also my favorite sports activity. I think everyone should play different sports for physical fitness.
