"For me, there's only my wife..."

"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"

"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"

"It was a grass harp... And we listened."

"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"

"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."

I thought Geicos were a type of lizard??

I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees!

The lizard is called a gecko, and Geico is a US-based vehicle insurance company. Originally, Geico was marketed at US Government employees, and the name stood for:

Government
Employees
Insurance
COrporation (or something like that).

My father worked for the US Postal Service (or the Post Offal, as I used to call it), and I remember he used to have the family car insured through Geico, back in the days when it was Pre-Lizard.

For several years now, the Geico TV commercials have featured a CGI talking (Cockney!) lizard as their spokescritter. I don't think these ads air in the UK, but you might find them on YouTube. Some of them are pretty imaginative, if I do say so.

And BTW, for the last eight years or so, the voice of the Geico Gecko has been done by Jake Wood from "Eastenders."

Now that I've been serious and informative, it's time to revert to my old, familiar persona...

This, incredibly enough, is not a joke:

And this...well, I leave it up to all of you:

Obvious case of Reptile Dysfunction. whistle

(I wonder if the little guy had insurance? confused )

You guys remember this one? Some meth head stole a tank in San Diego years ago after going on a multi day meth binge and they couldn't stop it. Finally they killed him when a cop was able to get on the tank and open the hatch. But this guy was going batshit crazy with a tank.

My son just sent me an email on geico. I deleted it without reading it.

As a kid I had geico as my auto insurer because even then the premiums were the cheapest around.
