He never did own it. The Scalamandre family owns it. Joseph, Fred, etc. The company has been "with" the Luccheses for years and Crea received (i.e. extorted) payments from it.

Thanks ivy. So I'm guessing they still have it right? What else is Crea into? I know he's into construction and I've heard he's into drywall too

The brothers admitted making payoffs to the mob back in 2003. Scalamandre Construction (and their other companies) are still in business. I would assume they're still "with" the Luccheses. I don't see the family letting that piggy bank go.

Crea has always been in the construction rackets. That's what he does. The 2000 case involved him, 2 captain, several soldiers and associates (including union officials), and various companies and union locals involved in the "Lucchese construction group." Construction typically is going to involve a number of things. For instance, in that same case, you had companies and unions involving carpentry, cement, bricklaying, trucking, etc.

Crea is easily the most powerful guy in the luccheses. He probably has fingers in everything. Along with Dom Truscello, Joe DiNapoli, and Neil Migilore

Well the fact that he's the boss pretty much makes him the most powerful guy in the family. But I see what you're saying. wink
