Well weeks have gone by, other than a few things here and there, all has been quiet with the Five Families. The Colombo trials wrapped up. The Bonanno's are just waiting for Vinny TV to get out, I think Jimmy Boy Dellaratta and Joe Giordano are on trial for different charges, a West Side Union was sued that's it there, and I have literally not heard a word on the Lucchese's since Steven Crea took over as boss. It's about as bad as it was last summer.

Any thoughts?

Yeah, Carmine Franco was a pretty big fish actually.

There's the Joel Cacace trial coming up, and I think there might be a chance we actually see that old big Lucchese case go to trial- the one with Madonna and DiNapoli out of NJ.

Tommy Shots: They want me running the family, don't they know I have a young wife?
Sal Vitale: (laughs) Tommy, jump in, the water's fine.

I've been wondering when that damn thing was going to go to trial. I thought it might get tossed out

It sounds like they are getting smarter and rebuilding quietly.

Do they even have enough evidence to convict him on the murder charge?

given the recent history of the new york mafia there will be another major indictment coming soon. seeing how damn near all the families have made guys wearing wires on each other or just flipping when they get pinched

There's always cases in New York because that's where the vast majority of the mob's members and activity is.

Fewer cases elsewhere typically indicates less activity. Especially when the trend continues over the long term.
