In NO way am I trying to spark a vicious political debate.

But regardless of which party or side we lean towards or support, can we all agree that Congress is a fucking joke right now? I certainly think so.

Me I'm a mixed bag. Socially I'm very liberal, but economically I'm a bit conservative. But for god's sake Congress passed 240 bills last year. That's a third less than the average 637 they usually put through. The more these guys bicker the less is going to get done and the whole country suffers. This shaky recovery will be for nothing. And another little statistic: Republicans and Democrats are getting increasingly non partisan. The trend the last decade is both parties are going either super liberal or super conservative levels not seen since the Civil War.

Anyone else worried? Discuss

Joe, you're preaching to the choir! They care more about being right than about righting the country. It's disgusting.

And a mandatory retirement age wouldn't hurt either. It's beyond ridiculous that you can't have certain menial jobs at, say, 80, yet you can have a congressional vote rolleyes.

All BOTH sides care about is lining their own pockets and taking ours away. How is it these do nothing POS get voted in year after year? Or Term after term?

look into that before making blanket statements. national guard units have comparable deployment rates to many other branches of the service. national guard troops go through the same boot camp as regular army, so don't be so quick to discount them.
