It's time for this annual topic.

I was planning on watching the game quietly at home without the usual hoopla. The big parties sometimes distract attention from the game.

But my wife and I will be at our local Knights of Columbus club, which has multiple big screens, rooms and bars for the game. The beer is always inexpensive, the people are all friends, and there're a lot of games and prizes.

Also, there is a buffet of subs, stromboli, lasagna, sausage, meatballs, wings and chicken tenders with two kinds of soup and homemade desserts, all for the bargain price of $5.

I figure I'll get there around 4 and watch the first half and Beyonce, who will give one of the all-time great Super Bowl performances. I'm betting Destiny's Child will be assembled at some point during the show.

I was going to go to brother Ralph's to watch it.then he cancelled because he had to get up early the next day. A lame excuse in my eyes. I was going to go today and stay at a hotel. Watch tge game on sunday at his house Then leave Monday.

Normally when I was into football I would watch the game at a sports bar more fun that way. But the giants are,not in it. So I suppose I will watch it at home on tv.I do want to see the lineman from Baltimore play from the movie the blind side.

i'm really not a sports fan at all, and i won't even watch tomorrow, but mom is having some of her lady friends over so i'm cooking for them in exchange for booze. pretty simple, chicken marsala as well as my new favorite pasta dish, cavatelli with butter, black pepper and thyme. also some sort of salad with homeade croutons. to go along with that, the regular chips, dip, pretzels ect.

It's either blue cheese with wings or go fuck yer mudda!

Kly, I will stay home also; whether my wife watches the game with me is a question. However, I've already stockpiled a prodigious hoard of ribs (which I'll start barbecuing here before too long) and onions. Without the Steelers playing, I'll watch and feast out of instinct. I'll have leftovers the rest of the week and that'll probably be the last of my rib eating until the 4th.

We are having pigs in a blanket, scallops and filets of beef wrapped in bacon (not together lol), potato pancakes and mushroom risotto cakes. There are also chips and dip, some wings and sandwiches from the local deli, and instead of beer we are making vodka gimlets. For desert we picked up a box of 8 tartufo.

The food was wonderful where I was. I gorged myself with Italian, roast beef and turkey hoagies, wings, chili cake. I skipped the sausage, lest I be piggish.

My wife and I got home late in the first half, and during the game blackout I drove my daughter's friends home, who were visiting. It was amazing to see empty streets, restaurants and supermarkets. Nobody was out on Super Sunday.

Well, because it is on during the night here i taped it and watched it on Monday morning before i went to work. Therefore my menu was cups of coffee and a couple of blueberry muffins!!
