I would second what pizzaman says. A good portion of jersey guys answer to someone in the bronx for most of the crews in the top 3 you listed. The Genovese probably has 5 or 6 crews that operate mostly in jersey. Well, 5 or 6 captains, im assuming theyre different crews.

Tony, bonnanos got guys in bayonne with joe lefty and up in bergen for those guys from the bronx... Colombos got some guys in Union County.

There was the 2000 case involving captain Joseph "Joe Black" DeSimone, the 2001 case involving captain Joseph Taormina, the 2002 case involving Filicomo and some other associates, the 2004 case involving both Lucchese and Bonanno associates involved in an oxycontin ring, and the 2009 case involving captain Joseph "Sammy" Sammartino and several others. Sammartino is said to oversee the family's operations in Jersey.

As for the Colombo family, there's been virtually no activity in Jersey, at least in the way of indictments, in quite a while. They are the most geographically-limited of all the NY families.

That's true. They've never, and I mean ever, been any kind of force here in the Bronx. For awhile Richie Fusco lived up in Scarsdale. He was actually pretty tight with Greg DePalma (what a pair---lol). And if Richie never got anything going for the Colombos down here, it's unlikely that anyone ever will.

Would it not make sense to farm some of the guys in the Luccheses, Genoveses, etc. to DeCavalcantes to get them going? Then cut from the top?

Tbh Decalvacante is just a name of an independent NJ family so the Genovese or whoever giving members as you suggested is just strengthening their NJ influence.
