Not one of those guys who posts things like "who would win between the genovese and gambinos? the genovese have more uzis". I am not one of those posters who thinks OC is like a Grand Theft Auto game. However i was doing some thinking and giving the amount of knowledgeable people we have on this board... can any of us come up with some very recent examples (post Colombo war) of families (anywhere in the country) actually coming close to "going to the matresses"? Im thinking more along the lines of internal tidbits we rarely hear about mainstream. IE: Squitieri in his meeting with the Rudaj guys, Locascio/Parello, lingering bad blood between Colombo factions, Baudanza knocking that guy around in the pen etc... Obviously Montreal comes to mind but other than that does anyone have some more examples and/or insight on recent instances of "beefs"... what the end result was, etc....

There really aren't any. Certainly not any where it's one family vs. another. And even inter-family disputes, where it ends in actual war, are largely a thing of the past. At most it will be a guy getting eliminated.

For example, in Philly, Long John supposedly wanted to move back in when he got out of prison and he was killed. Or Tony Zizzo in Chicago supposedly having problems with Marcello and Sarno and he ends up missing.
