Wrong. Americans did vote for a democratic congress. There is a larger number of votes that went to democratic candidates compared to that which went to republican candidates. However Gerrymandering made it impossible that the outcome be actually what people wanted. No argument there that the America you knew is changing; and I think for the better, more mature, more diverse and more tolerant. If that's not what you like about America, tough luck.

It's amazing that the self-described most Patriotic side of the Two major parties can be just as defeatist and whiney as the other side. Watch as that number plummets and in fact miraculously reverse itself if (or when, since its inevitable) when they reclaim the White House. Maybe as early as '16, who knows?

Just look at that poll: on the flipside, 69% of Democrats think the other way. I know, what a shock. 50% overall say the country's best days are behind it.
