i was just curious to know if staten island was an 'open' territory for all 5 families to work out of or do certain families hold a large presence on the island vs the others...also which crews are active on SI?? i was thinking bonannos primarily and gambinos by the docks but im not sure.....

A whole bunch of people are there. I remember somewhere in a documentary a guy saying if he took a rubber chicken and swung it around in a crowd, one in five people it hit would be connected with Italian organized crime.

As far as I know these are capos that operate or have operations there: George DiCicco, Pasquale Conte, Carmine Sciandra, Joe Lombardi, Frank Illiano, Anthony Furino, Frank Porco, Tony Calabrese, etc just to name a few.

george has stepped down. patsy wasnt a staten island guy. plus hes been retired since 'd' took his crew. carmine is obvious. joe lost his crew to someone else.punchy and blast both have houses there but they are brooklyn guys. and someone else runs that crew. he lives on si tho.lol. tony black lives in nassau co.porky is retired. ac is in jail.

So who runs George's crew and who is 'd'?

And both Punchy and Blast are retired? And I didn't know Joe Lomabardi had lost his crew. Damn I've got some catching up to do

I posted that awhile back. Although his son survived, Georgie didn't handle it well. I understand that he's very withdrawn today. Not just from "The Life," but from life in general.

his son being shot was just the 'icing on the cake'. firstly, its 'taboo' to propose your own son. its happened before but usually you need a second person to vouch for the kid [in the case of this family]. the kid was 'knocked down'. i wont say who by. he made a issue of it.he was told in no 'uncertain terms' to drop it.lol. he persisted. he got 'green lighted'. lucky for him he survived. it was on bath ave i think. maybe cropsey. maybe a block from the club george had. georgie got him a pass in exchange he was given the 'opportunity' to step down.basicaly a polite way to put someone on the 'shelf'. there were no 'talks of war' like some papers said.lol. a family takes care of there own problems. take of that what you will.

From what I gather the Gambinos have a very large presence on Staten Island as do the present day Bonnanos and I believe the power there goes those two,Colombo,Genovese,DeCavalcante,in that order with very little Luchese activity

as far as number of guys goes,i couldnt tell you. there are a frew jersey guys that live in si. a few in brooklyn actaully. id say the westside and the gambino have more pull there than any family. basically like the rest of ny except for the bronx. but you are wrong about luccheses. remember amuso who ran the family for years was a brooklyn guy.for years he made young kids from bk and si. there was a big crew of young guys out of port richmond a few yrs a go.

Good info... Sitonmyface you're my favorite new poster on this site, you and pizzaboy.. Lots of knowledge. Seems like you have a lot of firsthand knowledge.. Sounds like you know the streets quite well.

As long as you're not stepping on anyone's toes, Staten Island wouldn't be more or less open territory than any of the other boroughs.
