I was just wondering, when a family has a ruling panel that is running the family, how do they divy up the money amongst the bosses?? For example, when Lucchese's had Dinapoli, Madonna, and Migliore as the ruling panel, did they split the profit 3 ways or did they do it differently?? Thanks in advance

Hey Ace... my guess is that they split it evenly...if not I would think that the ruling panel would turn on one another because so and so is making more $$, and maybe so and so thinks he should be the boss then...

All three individuals have their own income from various rackets. If they are captains, their crew members still kick up to them just like they always did. The other captains does not kick up to the ruling panel members.

no because if you're a capo you just get some of the profits from your soldiers but if you're on the ruling panel, you get part of the money of all the capos

I don´t think so. Because captains on a ruling panel are still officially captains.

yeah but the money comes up to them. So you think a capo on a ruling panel doesn't make more than an average capo

Just the fact that he sits on a ruling panel doesn´t entitle him to more money.

We´re talking about money being kicked up, Nicky. Where would that money come from? Soldiers who are in other crews?
If a soldier in one crew wants to go into a partnership with a soldier (or a captain) in another crew, his captain has to approve it. A captain will never let another captain (even if this captain sits on a ruling panel) extract money from his crewmember. That soldier belongs to him. And that money belongs to him.

to answer the actual question.yes.

to expand-in the lucchese example, you had 3 bosses who ran the day to day. stevie wonder was slated to be the boss already, they were holding on to his spot since hes on supervision. a crew hands a envelope with 5 grand to big neil.big neil gives the other guys 1000 and says i only got 3 thousand.lol. thats cosa nostra. the point being there all thieves but they gotta show respect to the guys who are in the same spot as them.

hairyknuckles and nicky.im not sure what exactly the two of yas are argueing about but ill try and explain. once on the ruling panel, the capo aint a capo any more. hes a boss. im talking frankly in cosanostra terms.hes above all other skippers. he recieves envelopes every month/week/whatever. he outranks other capos at a sit. even tho hes still a capo, he reps the administration aka the boss.the rule is bosses meets with other bosses. a soldier can 'lie'. a capo cant be 'wrong'. a boss cant be lied to. these are the rules. at a sit, a skip from another family cant sit with a guy like migliore bc he represents the administration.to sit with a boss, under, or consiglieri, you need to be a boss, under,or consiglieri. if migliori wanted a soldier from another crew under him, hes got the right to 'take' him, but hee didnt get to where he is now by fucking over his own guys or other guys. so the scenerio itself defeats itself.

I guess we have to agree to disagree then. But only the boss have the authority to demand "tribute" from his captains. Not captains on a ruling panel.

you are right. in a sense. when a skip is put on a ruling panel he becomes a 'boss' in his own right. i see where your coming from, but that is how it is friend.

While holding out on money is common, I don't think it applies in that situation. All it would take is one panel member having a conversation with a captain to figure out the other panel member is not kicking up all the money. It's much easier for a captain/panel member to withhold money from his own crew.

I see what Knuckles is saying, but you think these assholes are gonna take the extra responsibility without getting a lot extra out of it?
